In the paleolithic era was has the main source. Paleolithic people had to learn which animal to hunt. Depending on where they lived they hunted buffalo, bison, wild , or reindeer. Hunting was their main activity. Farming- Revolution

During the period people started gradually moving away from hunting for the main source of food and started living in farming communities. Sometimes farming would work but when it didńt people would return to hunting or move to another area. During the paleolithic era there main food source was and fish that was hunted and not crops. In the Neolithic era the farming lead to harvesting crops for food. Storing crops allowed early to keep their food supply steady. Farmers could select and store the seeds from the best plants to plant the following year.The first domesticated crops were barley and wheat grown in India and the Southwest Asia around 8000 BCE. Wheat is a staple for many civilizations. Farm Animals

During the paleolithic era animals were hunted but in the neolithic era they were able to raise animals on their farms so they would have a steady food source. Goats and were the first domesticated farm animals.Farm animals could be used not only for food but also for their , hides, , and manure. Tools In the paleolithic era they would shaped stones an use bone and ivory from hunted animals. Tools became more sophisticated in the Neolithic era and were used more to help with farming. Curved blades made of flint were used to clear grain fields. then pulled plows made of stone and wood to get the fields ready for planting. Flint knives and scrapers were used to butcher meat and to clean hides. Permanent settlement In the Neolithic era due to farming people had a more stable source of food so where able to settle into one area unlike the paleolithic era where people had to relocate to find food. Early settlements grew into villages and then towns. After hundreds of years of growth, the largest settlements had enough people, power, and wealth to be called cities.
