Boilermaker Welder
Iskueteu is currently recruiting Boilermaker Welders, for project work at our site location in Voisey’s Bay, Labrador.
Responsibilities: Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures. Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery parts. Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments. Perform predictive and operational procedures. Locate and mark reference points for columns or plates on boiler foundations, following blueprints and using straightedges, squares, transits, or measuring instruments. Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, or vats to locate defects, such as leaks, weak spots, or defective sections, so that they can be repaired. Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts, such as safety valves or regulators, using torches, jacks, caulking hammers, power saws, threading dies, welding equipment, or metalworking machinery.
Qualifications: Journeyperson or Trade Qualifier certification Experience working on an large industrial site Valid Workplace NL Fall Protection Certification Valid WHMIS 2015 Certification Commitment to and champion for safety conscious work environment Valid First Aid is an asset ASME F3 and F4 are a requirement
This position will be based in Labrador at the Voisey’s Bay remote worksite working a two week on, two week off rotation, working 10 hour days.
