Francis Bailey recalls drastic change on island

So many of those children, and parents, moved on together to Sanibel Elmentary and then to Cypress Lake. And many didn't — going to different schools, moving off island. A girl and a boy that Willow went to school with at the center died, one of a sudden illness, one of a long bout with can- cer.
