TaqMan® Signature Arrays

TaqMan® Human Array

This array is part of a collection of TaqMan® Gene Signature Group Assays Gene Symbols ® Arrays that enable analysis of hundreds of TaqMan Gene Angiogenic 28 ANG, ANGPT1, ANGPT2, ANGPT4, CSF3, Expression Assays on a micro fluidic card with minimal effort. CTGF, CXCL12, ECGF1, EDIL3, EPHB2, FGF1, FGF2, FGF4, FST, GRN, HGF, IL8, Angiogenesis is the process of developing new blood vessels LEP, MDK, PDGFB, PROK1, PTN, TGFA, TGFB1, TNF, VEGF, VEGFB, VEGFC from pre-existing ones. It depends on and proteolytic mechanisms that involve the activity of growth Angiogenesis inhibitor 37 ADAMTS1, ANGPTL1, BAI1, CHGA, COL15A1, COL18A1, COL4A1, COL4A2, factors, , proteases and adhesion COL4A3, CXCL10, CXCL2, F2, FBLN5, molecules. The development of new vessels requires FGA, FLT1, FN1, HSPG2, IFNB1, IFNG, coordinated regulation of processes depending on a balance IL12A, ITGA4, LECT1, PF4, PLG, PRL, SEMA3F, SERPINB5, SERPINC1, of activators and inhibitors. Angiogenesis is important for SERPINF1, THBS1, THBS2, TIMP2, physiologic processes such as development, morphogenesis, TIMP3, TNFSF15, TNMD, TNNI1, VASH1 wound repair and reproduction. Uncontrolled angiogenesis Angiogenesis marker 10 AMOT, ANGPTL2, ANGPTL3, may contribute to disease mechanisms associated with ANGPTL4, CEACAM1, HEY1, ITGAV, PECAM1, PGK1, XLKD1 macular degeneration, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, tumor growth and metastasis. Angiogenesis target 14 EDG1, ENPP2, FLT3, FLT4, ITGB3, KDR, KIT, NRP1,NRP2, Higher eukaryotes have two vascular systems: blood and PDGFRA, PDGFRB, TEK, TIE1 lymphatic. The blood vasculature transports oxygen, carbon Lymphangiogenesis marker 5 CD44, CDH5, FIGF, FOXC2, PROX1 dioxide, nutrients, metabolic products, cells of the immune Controls 2 18S, GAPDH system, hormones and other factors. The lymphatic vessels collect and transport -rich interstitial fluid via lymph References: nodes and lymphatics back into the blood circulation. The Ambesi, A. et al. Res. 2005 Jan 1, 65(1):148–56 lymphatic system is important in normal physiologic processes Brooks, P.C. et al. Cell 1998 Feb 6, 92(3):391–400 such as immunoregulation and tissue repair. It also plays a role in the pathology of chronic inflammation, lymphedema Folkman, J. Ann. Rev. Med. 2006, 57:1–18 and tumor metastasis. Lymphangiogenesis is the formation Gonzalez, E.M. et al. J. Biol. Chem. 2005, 280(8):7080–7087 of lymphatic vessels from pre-existing ones, analogous Kaur, B. et al. Oncogene 2005, 24(22):3632–42 to angiogenesis. Lee, T. et al. J. Biol. Chem. 1998, 273(44):28805–812 This TaqMan® Gene Signature Array contains 94 assays and Nyberg, P. et al. Cancer Res. 2005, 65:3967–79 two controls to study angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis in OReilly, M.S. et al. Science 1999, 285:1296–98 humans. It includes known angiogenesis growth factors like Pike, S.E. et al. J Exp Med. 1998 Dec 21, 188(12):2349–56 VEGF, and known matrix derived inhibitors such as endostatin. Additionally, the array contains markers and targets for Rege, T.A. et al. Neuro-oncol. 2005 Apr, 7(2):106–21 angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis. Staton, C.A. et al. Blood 2004 Jan 15, 103(2):601–6 Struman, I. et al. PNAS 1999, 96:1246–51 Tabruyn, S. et al. Molec. Endoc. 2006, 19(7):1932–42 Tobler, N.E. & Detmar, M.
