As usual, if your club or society would like to feature here, please email Graham Devereux at chairman@.org.uk. Don’t forget you can visit our website at http://www.orc.org.uk – and we’re also on social media; all the details can be found at the bottom of the page.

FROM THE CHAIRMAN, GRAHAM DEVEREUX

Have you seen our sports facilities recently? In spite of the pandemic and lock down we’ve managed to maintain a really good quality offer. Many thanks must go to our grounds staff and hard working volunteers within the clubs and societies who have put in hours and hours of discretionary efforts in order to keep up with the ever changing landscape. It’s not been easy but we have managed to provide facilities on time for some clubs to return to the sports and activities that they love. Through the summer cricket, tennis, golf and Walk for Health was able to return with specific guidelines – well done everyone!

Make sure you are aware of the latest government rules and stay healthy.

A huge mention goes to young Dan Silverwood who made the top ten for most wickets taken in the league on his season in men’s cricket The first team and second team still have a few games remaining and are looking to end the season on a high. Our third eleven finished their season and won the league ending the season unbeaten. Our newly formed U9's team managed to squeeze in a whole season of matches in the space of 7 weeks.
