AESA Prep Academy (AESA) located in the Hill Country of Austin, , was established in 2009, as a progressive and innovative school for grades K-12th.

About AESA High School

AESA Prep Academy High School, part of AESA International School System, offers a comprehensive 4 year college preparatory program while also actively supporting students that are pursuing athletics, fine arts and other passions at a national or international level. The AESA High School diploma requires a minimum of 26 course credits. Students are required to take the following courses: 4 Math 4 global language (same) 1 communication 4 English 1 health course 1 technology 4 Social Studies 1 physical ed. 1 Fine Arts 4 Science 3 additional electives

AESA courses are rigorous and typically at the Honors level or higher; aligned by grade level; and aligned with the SAT and ACT objectives. AESA courses are based upon the standards of The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Next Generation Science Standards, The National Council of Teachers of English and The National Council for History Education. AESA courses are also NCAA approved.

AESA Students 9th - 12th grade sit for Fall and Spring final exams. Grades are based on a 4.0 GPA scale with no additional weight for Dual-credit courses. Students must earn a 70% or higher to receive credit for a course. AESA only ranks students as required by Texas state-funded universities and recognizes the Valedictorian and Salutatorian.

AESA supports Seniors, Juniors and exceptional Sophomores and Freshmen, to distinguish themselves academically through dual-credit courses from The University of Texas at Austin, The University of California at Berkeley, The University of Wisconsin, Austin CC. AESA does not offer AP courses or IB courses but accepts them when students transfer in.

AESA students are strongly encouraged to earn the Distinguished Diploma; in which students take a minimum of two dual credit courses or a long-term project such as an internship. Further, students are required to participate in extra-curricular activities such as student government, speaking contests, debate, poetry-out-loud and life skills development.
