Boston University Activities

We organize and finance a certain number of student outings. Students may attend any or all of these activities for FREE! Signing up for each desired activity is required.

Cultural Passport Suggestions You can attend activities on your own and be reimbursed through the BU Cultural Passport up to 100€.

Exploring Outside of Paris… Venture just outside of Paris to places like the medieval city of , which in June has roses in full bloom, and the royal château at Fontainebleau. All of the Ile-de-France region is accessible for free with your Navigo card!

Or, take a weekend getaway to an island in Brittany such as Belle Île en Mer or to Le Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy, or to a city like Marseille or an island like Ile de Porquerolles on the Mediterranean…

The BU Paris website offers tour guides of famous spots in Paris, tourist sites around the Ile-de-France region, and major cities around France. Many of these guides are student tested, so make sure to look at them for ideas!

Please remember as well that the Cultural Passport covers any French-related activities, including those outside of Paris.

More Information BU will reimburse up to 100€ for different cultural activities relating to French culture and language. Activities must relate to France, its culture, and/or its language.

Rules Train tickets are only reimbursed for trips within France or other Francophone country for a maximum of 50€ per round trip. There is a limit of 50€ per receipt or per activity.

Receipts must be the original! No photocopies are accepted. Prices must be clearly indicated on the receipt, and your name must figure on the receipt for any purchases made online.

How To Get Reimbursed At the end of the semester, print out the reimbursement sheet found on the BU Paris website, fill out the form, staple receipts and/or tickets to the form, and place it in Elisabeth’s mailbox. Please note that the final day to hand in a reimbursement sheet is the last day of internship workshops.
