BANDY REFEREE ADJUSTMENTS DUE TO COVID
DO’S
Follow established protocols for Covid prevention (See State Guideline Link: https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/sportsjan4.pdf)
Only use the red white and blue striped jersey, and keep it as a personal one for the season (If you do not have one, let me know).
Wear a facemask at all times, even on the ice while refereeing. Gloves are also recommended
Use of electronic whistles is preferred (alternately – if you use a conventional whistle, you will need to pull your facemask down to blow it, and then reset the mask). Neal has purchased three electronic whistles than can be shared if we are able to store them at the rink and sanitize them after each game.
Come to the rink already fully dressed. Put your skates and helmet on outside. Try not to use the interior of the building. If you must go inside, keep it brief and wear a facemask at all times.
Arrive shortly before the game and leave as quickly as you can after the game
Maintain social distancing, even while refereeing
Report to the team coaches who were at the game, head of referees, and Chris Halden if you or a player experiences any Covid symptoms during the game or in the days following your game. If you test positive for Covid, you must also immediately notify Chris Halden.
Bring your own water bottle. Do not share.
Help out with the lines on the rink before the first game of each night. There will be more instructions about this in a follow up email.
