According to the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the current average 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants in Croatia is 33.7 In general, Croatia has a stable epidemiological situation right now, where the whole continental part of Croatia remains "in green". The national authorities in the coastal counties, which are all tourist destinations, will introduce additional measures related to major gatherings to contain the spread of the infections with strict controls and surveillance along the entire coast to return to "green" again.

There are about 860,000 tourists in Croatia right now, and about 740,000 are foreigners. Proof that Croatia perceives as a safe, well-prepared and well-organized tourist destination among tourists. Most visitors are currently in Istria, Kvarner, Split-Dalmatia and Zadar County. In terms of destinations, most guests are in Rovinj, Vir, Poreč, Medulin and Umag.

The national safety label "Safe stay in Croatia" continues to help holidaymakers enjoy a safe and worry- free holiday. The label makes it easier for visitors to identify destinations and resorts, accommodation, transport, tourist attractions and other facilities in Croatia that have adopted global standards for health and hygiene.

During the spring, tourism employees were vaccinated preferentially and now can even foreign visitors be vaccinated free of charge in Croatia. About 70 per cent of tourist workers are vaccinated already, and all tourists, if they wish, can be vaccinated in Croatia in the same places as the local population.

According to a recent government decision on the further allocation of vaccination against COVID-19, the vaccination offer in Croatia will now be extended to the following persons:

• all citizens of the Republic of Croatia who do not have the status of an insured person according to the laws governing compulsory health insurance and compulsory health insurance and health care of parties in the Republic of Croatia

• for all citizens of the Republic of Croatia outside the Republic of Croatia who are visiting and or temporarily residing on the territory of the Republic of Croatia

• as well as for all persons who have foreign citizenship and who are visiting and or temporarily residing on the territory of the Republic of CroatiaAnother step of Croatia’s efforts to maintain a safe and healthy destination for both those residing in Croatia, as well as tourists.

Croatia is dedicated to keeping its visitors and locals as safe as possible, so that everyone can enjoy Croatia to the fullest and with peace of mind. To be allowed to enter Croatia, visitors must meet 1 of the following criteria and provide proof of this:

• A negative PCR or antigen test taken before arrival at the border.

• A vaccination certificate showing final dose taken more than 14 days ago.

• Proof of recovery from Covid-19 more than 11 days and less than 180 days ago.

• Proof of recovery and first dose of vaccination more than 11 days and less than 7 months ago.

• Pay for a test on arrival and remain in self-isolation until a negative result.
