Press Release Cine Europa officially opens in on 27 September

See the world in the eyes of "The Goat" on 27 September when Cine Europa will once more hit Liceo de Cagayan University. This Bulgarian film will certainly tickle the bones of the Filipino audiences.

Directed by Georgi Dulgerov the film which is seen through the eyes of a "Goat" talks about of characters from different nationalities based on their cultural prejudices and how they would realise that affection is always better than any material wealth.

Dr. Julian Vassallo, Political Counsellor of the EU Delegation to the Philippines with Mr. Jan Verbeek of the Embassy of Belgium and Dr. Mariano M. Lerin, President of Liceo de Cagayan University will officially open the Cine Europa Cagayan de Oro Leg, on 27 September.

Cine Europa which marks its 15 th year screens 21 European films from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom in Cagayan De Oro City from 27 to 30 September.

The film festival finished its and Cebu legs and through the collaboration with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), the European Union will also screen in FDCP Cinemateques in Davao, and from 4 to 21st October.

Admission is free for all screenings at all locations until 21 October.

Cine Europa 15 is organised by the European Union Cultural Group in Manila which is composed of the Embassies and Cultural Institutes of the European Union. The Embassies of Norway and Switzerland, the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the Independent Film Cooperative, Liceo de Cagayan de Oro (Mindanao), Arts Council of Cebu, Ayala Center Cebu and the Shangri-La Plaza Mall (Manila) are partners of Cine Europa 15.

KLM Air France supports Cine Europa 15 and has provided one economy class return ticket to Europe to be raffled amongst those attending any of the screenings of Cine Europa. Inquirer.net and Travelife Magazine are this year's media partners.
