Carthage competes as a member of NCAA Division III, and many of its teams compete in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The CCIW is regarded as one of the most competitive Division III conferences in the nation, focused on helping student-athletes to grow in athletics and academics. Other CCIW members include Augustana College, Carroll University, Elmhurst College, Illinois Wesleyan University, Millikin University, North Central College, North Park University, and Wheaton College. Carthage boasts some of the most impressive athletic facilities in all of

NCAA Division III.
