Welcome to Fort Hays State University’s Weekend, October 1-4!

Open to all FHSU alumni, friends, students, faculty and staff, there is something for everyone during this exciting four-day weekend. There will be a wide variety of events, including the Tiger bonfire and pep rally, Oktoberfest, Tiger golf tournament, 5K run/walk, and the FHSU vs. Washburn University football game.

Alumni membership has its benefits. Dues paying members qualify for discounted pricing. Become a paid member and take advantage of the savings!

THURSDAY, October 1 Tiger Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament 8 a.m. Registration; 9:30 a.m., Shotgun Start Smoky Hill Country Club, 3303 Hall St Reservations accepted on a first-come, first-served paid basis. Divisions: women, men, senior and mixed teams. Lunch provided. Tournament proceeds will be used to fund FHSU scholarships for deserving students. Stop by the silent auction to bid on the latest Tiger memorabilia.

Tiger Alumni & Friends Social 5:30 – 7 p.m., Robbins Center Join fellow Tiger alumni and friends for appetizers and drinks at an after-hours social hosted by the Post Rock Alumni & Friends Chapter. Afterward, plan to join the group at the Tiger Bonfire just outside the building.

Tiger Bonfire & Pep Rally 7:30 p.m., Robbins Center (east lawn) Join members of the football team and coaches, the FHSU Marching Band, the cheerleaders, the 2015 Alumni Award recipients and the Homecoming King/Queen candidates as Tigerland prepares to take on the Washburn University Ichabods. Sponsored by Tigers4Ever & Greek Life.

FRIDAY, October 2 Homecoming Registration 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Memorial Union Alumni and friends will want to check in at registration, pick up pre-paid tickets, and view reunion biographical sketches and copies of the Reveille while enjoying free refreshments. It’s a great place to meet and visit with other Tigers.

Oktoberfest 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., Frontier Park, South Main St. Oktoberfest has become a tradition that people of all ages look forward to and enjoy. It is a community tribute to the Volga-German heritage where delicious foods, lively entertainment, games, crafts, and unique items for sale make it an event you won’t want to miss. Arrive early to participate in authentic German activities and events.

Half Century Club Luncheon & Induction 11 a.m., Social; 12 p.m., Luncheon, Memorial Union Celebrate with this special group of FHSU alumni who graduated more than 50 years ago and retired FHSU faculty/staff. If you plan to participate in this event, either on campus or virtually, please complete this portion.

A FREE T-shirt is guaranteed on the day of the event to participants who have pre-registered for the Hays race only. Unclaimed T- shirts will not be mailed.

Virtual participants who register by Sept. 17 will receive a t-shirt by Oct. 1.
