Tau Chapter Florida Atlantic University

Dear Potential Member,

We are excited to offer you the opportunity to be considered for induction into the Tau Mu chapter of Order of at Florida Atlantic University. This opportunity is for FAU fraternity & sorority members who live the values of their organizations and who strive to assist Order of Omega in achieving its purpose on-campus.

Purpose of Order of Omega at Florida Atlantic University  To recognize those fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership in interfraternal activities, to encourage them to continue along this line, and to inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment;

 To bring together outstanding fraternity men and women to create an organization that will bring together members of the FAU faculty and student members of FAU fraternities and sororities on a basis of mutual interest, understanding and helpfulness.

 To help create an atmosphere where purpose-driven ideas and issues can be discussed openly to help work out solutions.

To be considered for Order of Omega, a candidate must have: - A cumulative FAU grade point average of at least a 3.0 - 50 completed collegiate credit hours

A written application (described below) will be necessary to apply.

To complete the process, please place the finished paperwork in an envelope with your name written on the outside and place it into Tania Paini’s mailbox in the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life (Student Union – Room 218).

Please have all applications in the mailbox by Friday, March 15, 2013 at 5pm.

5. Based on its purpose, in what ways can Order of Omega benefit the entire FAU fraternity and sorority community?

In addition to the statements/questions above, interested candidates must also include two (2) letters of recommendation and a resume which should include all leadership positions held within the fraternity & sorority life community as well as FAU. Suitable letters of recommendation should be from Faculty, Staff, and/or Alumni.

Please also note that there is a one- fee of $50 due upon initiation into Order of Omega.
