Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Deadline: November 10, 2020 Students in grades 5-12 who have volunteered in the past year - virtually or in person - can apply for local, state and national honors, including scholarships of up to $6,000. The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, sponsored by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), provides a wide range of opportunities to highlight the good works of both students and the schools that helped them along the path. Learn more about The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, student eligibility and resources for schools at https://spirit.prudential.com PB&J Scholarship Deadline: December 31, 2020 This scholarship is trying to fill in the gap for high school seniors who don't have high GPAs and have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically, but who still have the drive to succeed. The scholarship awards range from $500 - $1,000 Students can apply through this link: https://scholarsapp.com/scholarship/pbj-scholarship Texas Student Housing Authority Scholarship Deadline: January 31, 2021 Texas Student Housing Authority scholarships are available to Texas High School graduating seniors, community college students, and university upper classmen who have previously graduated from a Texas High School. Applications are available in Ms. Jones’s office Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Zeta Tau Lambda Chapter Scholarship Deadline: February 14, 2021 The Zeta Lamda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is inviting underserved minority males (African American, Hispanic, Native American, or Asian) who are graduating high school seniors in North and Mainland Galveston County or the Clear Lake/Bay Area with plans to attend college in Fall 2021. Applications are available in Ms. Jones’s office Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union Deadline: February 26, 2021 Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union will award four scholarships this year in the amount of $4000 that will be awarded in the amount of $500 each semester to four qualified students. Two scholarships will be awarded to students who express the intent to pursue a course of study to enter the teaching field. Two scholarships may be awarded to applicants outside the field of education. Applications are available in Ms. Jones’s office Brazoria-Galveston County Farm Bureau Scholarship Deadline: March 26, 2021 Brazoria-Galveston County Farm Bureau will award an individual scholarship this year in the amount of $4000 that will be awarded in the amount of $500 each semester the student maintains at least a 2.0 to one qualified student. Eligible students must plan to attend a college, technical or trade school, and take a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester. Recipient must also be a son or daughter of a current Brazoria- Galveston Cunty Farm Bureau member. If awarded, parents must maintain membership for the duration of the scholarship. Applications are available in Ms. Jones’s office. Rotary Club of Texas Scholarship Deadline: March 26, 2021 Rotary Club of Texas City is awarding several scholarships, based on available funding, to Texas City High School Seniors who do not have any family members in the Rotary Club of Texas City. The scholarships consist of a one-time $2,000 award, and potentially a $10,000 scholarship that will be awarded in the amount of $2,000 per year for up to five years. Applications are available in Ms. Jones’s office. Melinda Webb Memorial Scholarship Deadline: March 31, 2021 High school female seniors at Texas City High School with at least 3.0 grade point average. Two students will be selected to be awarded the $1,000 scholarship. Completed applications should be sent to the office of Ms. Jones, the scholarship coordinator, by end of the day on March 31, 2021 Unigo.COM Deadline: March 31, 2021 Eligible students must be able to answer the following prompt in 250 words: “Financial literacy is important. Turn in complete application to Ms. Jones by deadline. Texas Classroom Teachers Organization Deadline: April 1, 2021 This scholarship is open to any Texas City High School graduating seniors. There are two scholarships available in the amount of $500. Turn in complete application to Ms. Jones by deadline. Texas City High School Cheer Booster Scholarship Deadline: April 1, 2021 This scholarship is open to any Texas City High School graduating seniors. There is one reward of $500 and two rewards for $250 Turn in complete application to Ms. Jones by deadline. Welding Club Deadline: April 1, 2021 This scholarship is open to any Texas City High School graduating seniors who have been in the welding program for at least two years. There are five rewards of $500 available. Turn in complete application to Ms. Jones by deadline. Interact Club Deadline: TBD This scholarship is open only to Interact Club members. Applications will be provided by Ms. Tholcken, the sponsor at meetings in the Spring.
