POSITION SUMMARY: The User Interface/User Experience Designer/Developer is responsible for the look, feel, quality and overall user experience for the company’s suite of web products. The objective is to present the company's business functionality in a user-centered manner improving the overall and user experience for the different types of users utilizing the product suite on a daily basis.

The person in this position will work closely with the technology, product management, marketing, and executives execute on strategic vision and goals for internal and client projects as requested. The ideal candidate for this position will be at ease , visualizing, and story-boarding a user experience in the abstract, considering device and user contexts, and then turning concepts into design deliverables.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Quickly prototype solution design, look, feel and aesthetic options with clear recommendations and rationales using whiteboard brainstorming and • Develop visual mockups and prototypes partnering with development and product teams to build the most engaging and intuitive experiences for end users • Develop and maintain the style and user interface standards and guidelines • Work with implementation teams to design efficient and comprehensible user interfaces, given requirements • Plan and conduct user interface usability studies and testing as required to improve UX • Perform competitive research and analysis to inform requirements • Develop documentation of all UIs

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experience in UX design, and usability disciplines

• Experience in translating business requirements into for web-based applications

• Experience with building responsive web content

• Proficient with a range of interaction design and tools. • In-depth understanding of HTML, CSS and the capabilities of web browsers. Additional knowledge of JavaScript, DOM, Ajax techniques, Web 2.0 strategies is a bonus

• Knowledge of international and accessibility design considerations

• Experience with fast-paced projects, including rapid design iteration

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDES :

Education and Experience:

• A formal education in Interaction Design, , Human Factors, or related field.

• Must be familiar with responsive web technologies. • 3+ year’s professional experience as an interactive designer/user experience designer with expertise in both information and visual design. • 2+ years professional experience with mass-market consumer electronics/web/mobile products; experience with handheld consumer electronics products a plus.

• Excellent communication skills, ability to deal with employees at all levels.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in fast-paced dynamic environment

• Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.

• Strong problem solving skills.

• Work with individuals internal to the organization to ensure that efforts are focused on the client.

• Participate on company teams and committees as appropriate to ensure integration of activities.

• Work with individuals external to the organization as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Work in a standard office environment utilizing a computer and standard technology-related equipment and normal office equipment.
