PROCEDURES FOR THE CARRIAGE OF FIREARMS AND/OR AMMUNITION TO, FROM AND THROUGH SINGAPORE

Singapore authorities require any passenger carrying firearms and or ammunition travelling to, from and through Singapore, to submit and an ‘Application of Permit for Carriage of Dangerous Goods/Munitions of War (for Sporting Purposes) under the Air Navigation Order’.

Qantas will submit the completed application on your behalf.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CARRIAGE OF FIREARMS AND OR AMMUNITION

An application form must be completed and submitted with the following documentation;

 end user certificate i.e. firearms licence;

 copy of the Import/Export Certificate Form Arms & Explosives (form attached);

 commercial invoice of firearms to be carried (this applies only to newly purchased firearms).

NOTE: Applications submitted must, include full details of the firearms and or ammunition (if applicable). Failure to do so will result in the application not being processed.

SECURITY ESCORT FEE

SGD 136.00 This fee is payable if transferring to another flight number or carrier, eg SYD-SIN on QF01 then SIN-FRA on QF05. It does not include the return flight. Groups travelling on the same booking reference may pay a single fee provided all firearms and or ammunition are declared on the one application.

IMPORTANT

Applications to the local authorities must be submitted for approval at least seven days prior to the intended date of travel.

I hereby declare as follows: (I) that I have understood and sill comply with the provisions of Annex 18 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, the current edition of the International Civil Aviation Orgainastion (ICAO) Technical Instructions for The Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air; and

(II) that the dangerous goods/munitions of war (for sporting purposes) to be carried on board the aircraft are not forbidden by ICAO for transport by air.
