Qantas are adding to their list of aviation firsts with non-stop flights from London to Australia using the Qantas Dreamliner. The non-stop flight will be the fastest route to Australia from the UK, and will be the first regular passenger service to directly link the two continents when the service begins in March 2018^.

With its lighter carbon fibre body, pioneering engines and advanced onboard systems, the Dreamliner uses 20% less fuel. This opens up a whole new world of new destination opportunities – allowing Qantas to fly non- stop to Australia from March 2018.

Qantas’ goal by 2022 is direct flights from London to the east coast of Australia. A challenge has been given to Airbus and Boeing to give their next-generation aircraft currently under development the range to make these non-stop flights possible. A direct flight would cut total journey time by up to four hours on London-Sydney.

As one of the most advanced long-haul aircraft flying today, Qantas has made sure passenger comfort is at the heart of their Dreamliner. They are working with the University of Sydney to help develop a new approach to long haul travel ahead of the first Qantas Dreamliner flights.

The Dreamliner Service

• Fitted with state-of-the-art technology to reduce turbulence

• Every seat is designed to offer the ultimate comfort for long-haul flying

• Thousands of hours of entertainment onboard

• Larger baggage lockers and bigger windows which aid jet lag
