1. First pick a spot on the front and back of the right and left and take a measurement at the front and at the back. This difference is your total . It should be about 1/16” toe in but this will depend on your set up.

2. Remove the 5 bolts holding the original rack and pinion.

3. Remove the bolts securing the female coupler to the rack and pinion and the EPS unit. The hardware will be reused. 4. Slide the rack and pinion out of the vehicle. 5. Loosen but do not remove the 4 bolts on each side of the EPS unit bracket. Be careful not to round off these nuts since they are thread locked from the factory. Note the location of the slots. Also loosen but do not remove the bolt that secures the U-joint to the top of the E.P.S. motor.

6. Slide the Rackzilla into place. 7. Be sure to use the included spacers to allow the pinion to sit in the correct location in the vehicle.

8. Before bolting the Rackzilla to the frame, connect the rigid coupler included in the kit to the E.P.S. motor. The eps motor should be able to move around a little bit, allowing for the coupler to engage on the splines. There is a blank tooth on the E.P.S. motor so the coupler will only slide on in one orientation. 9. Slide the pinion into the coupler, and get a nut started on one of the bolts that secures the rackzilla in the vehicle. This will keep the pinion and coupler from sliding back apart. 10. Loosely thread the bolts into the coupler. 11. Install the remaining 4 bolts and tighten all five bolts that secure the rackzilla to the vehicle.

12. Tighten the 4 bolts on each side of the motor bracket (25lbft) as well as the upper U-joint. 13. Tighten the U-joint pinch bolts to 25lbft and test the steering to make sure 14. Make sure that the of the vehicle are straight, the white marks on the pinion and housing lined up, and the steering is straight. 15. Using the supplied hardware kit, bolt the heim joints to the steering arms after they are adjusted close to the correct length. 16. With everything bolted together in the vehicle, check the toe and make final adjustments by turning the tie rod. 17. Once the toe is back to its original setting, lock the jam nuts against the outer heim joints.
