What is it ? The Side by Side meet ups are based on mutual support, a chance for you to get out of the house and meet up with people you can relate to.

Who is it for? Anyone can come along. Whether you’re having a good or a bad day we’d still love to see you at the meet ups, as long as you feel able to be there for others as well as benefit from their support.

What is a facilitated group? A facilitated group is arranged by a particular group or person and has a set purpose. To access these group you will need to contact the person who runs them beforehand.

What is a public drop in? A public drop in is a place anyone can access to talk, find out information about local services and often have a drink or something to eat.

What is social group? Our social groups are an opportunity to meet up with others who you can to talk to and socialise with. Social groups are not run by anyone, you can just turn up and enjoy each others company. Unfortunately we can’t always promise that people will there as the groups are run by the people that attend.

What are the support groups? There are a few support groups that have been set up by people passionate about supporting others who are having a bad time with their mental health. If you’d like to go along give them a call (numbers on the monthly plan).

Do I have to pay to come along? All of the social groups are free, If you come along all you have to pay for is your food, drink and the activity you’re doing if there is any cost, such as bowling. There is a small charge for some of the facilitated groups, give them a call to find out more.

Can I start my own group? Yes! If you would like some support setting up a new Side by Side group we’re happy to help you get things set up, find a venue, offer training and promote your group.
