It is a short historic view of this genre, where the most essential points of formation of which are touched, from the first novel to the contemporary. Trying to give a glimpse of the story of the Albanian novel, besides beginning the cultivation of this genre in our literature, we have also talked about the novel written during our national and post-Renaissance period, about the novel written after the end of the Second World War, the Albanian novel, written and published in Kosovo, as well as the novel written in Albania after the collapse of the dictatorial communist system. So we tried to include almost all literary and historical periods, so that our brief panorama is more clear and comprehensive. In a word, we tried to make a genre history that is great for studying our literature, especially the Albanian novel. Introduction The formalist researcher, Mikhail Bahtin considers the novel as the only genre always being in the process of developing, and never as a completed one.”ii According to this point of view, however, we can say that even our novel is a literary structure that is taking shape differently every day.

    Winners of the Literary Translation Fund (from Albanian into Foreign Languages) Announced In line with the cultural policies that aim to advocate and promote Albanian literature abroad as well as to provide support to foreign translators and publishing companies planning to translate Albanian literature, the Albanian Ministry of Culture is announcing the list of winners of The Literary Translation Fund (from Albanian into Foreign Languages) for 2016. This fund was started for the first time this year with the aim of providing financial support for the translation of important Albanian literature works. Furthermore, its aim was also to promote Albanian authors and Albanian literature in foreign countries. The fund aims to come to the assistance of foreign translators with an interest in translating from the Albanian language, as well as to reduce publication costs for foreign publishers who seek to bring Albanian literature to foreign readers. The Ministry of Culture made an amount of ALL 2,000,000 available for this fund. The board and then a jury of experts in the field of translation selected six out of a total of ten applications. It is our pleasure to notice that alongside the names of the winning translators and publishing companies, the books selected include some of the best authors of Albanian literature. Within ten days from the day of the announcement of the winners, the publishing companies shall be contacted to select a date for the contract signing. Lui definì la cultura come una memoria. Riferendoci alla cultura del dramma albanese e al teatro come memoria, possiamo dire che il dramma albanese in sincronia e in diacronia col livello letterario con cui si presenta, è stato elaborato in continuazione. Il dramma è la forma letteraria più canonica e anche conservativa legata al teatro come medium ed è influenzato dal livello istituzionale della cultura di un paese. Come principio base, la forma drammatica non si scrive per essere letta, ma per essere messa in scena. Tutte queste considerazioni dimostrano perché la forma drammatica si presenta tardi nella letteratura albanese e perché le sue forme non siano cosi variegate. Il dramma nella letteratura albanese compare nell’epoca del Romanticismo che coincide con il movimento Rilindja KombëtareRinascimento Nazionale della fine del XIX secolo e l’ inizio del XX secolo. I primi tentativi di scrivere un testo drammatico iniziarono con il dramma di “nton Santori, Emira scritto in lingua italiana da un arberesh che viveva a Santa Caterina a Cosenza. Un altro dramma del periodo fu ”esa scritto in lingua turca da un autore del tempo, Sami Frashëri.
