Page 8 Directions for measurements

Unfortunately there are again and again misunderstandings with regards to the measurements. In order to avoid insecurities or possible trouble, please note the following: All specified dimensions are approximate in width/depth/height/seat height. These are single measurements per type/element, this means that the whole combinations shows the real measurement. We would like to point out that deviations of +/- 2 cm may occur because of the foam used and its upholstering. In addition, the whole com- bination must be measured, not only the single type/element. Please contact us if you would like to get more detailed information. We reserve the right to make technical changes.

Width/depth/height/seat height: There is always measured the maximum width of the furniture, for Width example including an overlapping pillow on the arm part (A). Function: For models with arm part function the arm part will be measured in its original position – means clapped down (B).

At models with and without function which changes the depth we ever Depth measure the total depth of the furniture, e.g. overlapping backwards if the back is protruding (A), e.g. including back overlap for sofas with headrest adjustment not raised (B). In case of models on which the function extraordinary changes the depth of the furniture, we offer the measurements without protruding A B of the function and note an extra measurement that shows the depth Height with function.

Height The sofa is measured with the maximum height, exception: Back with headrest adjustment is always measured not raised. (A) There is a separate measurement given about the height including function.

Seat height If there is a seating slope (A) or a curve (B) the seat height will be measured at the highest point.

W.SCHILLIG has concentrated on this fine raw material since the 70s and right from the beginning has worked closely together with leading tanneries. We now are one of Eu- rope’s largest leather processors, which means that you as a cus- tomer can benefit from our many years of craftsmanship and experience.

Natural high quality Leather is both the most precious and the hardest wearing cover material for upholstered furniture. Like every natural product, leather is unique. Processed by wonderful, precise craftsman- ship, the leather for the collection is available in the most beau- tiful, classical nature colours. W.SCHILLIG furniture: One of the most impressive, extensive collections for leather on the market.

Page 15 Types of leather

Types of leather for every person

Untreated aniline leather is both the highest-quality yet most sensitive leather when it comes to dirt and the influence of light. Because it has no pigmentation whatsoever, all of the natural characteristics and structural differences are visible. It stays natu- rally soft, warm and cosy and ensures a pleasant seating climate. It is breathable, absorbing moisture and emitting it again. The col- ours are naturally beautiful, and the leather has a velvety, elegant shine.

Untreated aniline leather Compared to untreated aniline leather, treated aniline leather, has a very fine, superficial application of dye that reduces the colour differences in the leather without influencing its warmth, cosiness and breathability. The features of untreated leather are preserved.

Treated aniline leather Lightly pigmented semi-aniline leather is a good compromise between naturalness and ease of care. Because the leather is only superficially pigmented, it retains its natural softness. Still, W.SCHILLIG Longlife Protection makes it significantly less sensitive to dirt. Colour differences are minimised, and natural character- istics are less visible than in untreated leather. Lightfastness is enhanced. The leather is warm and skin-friendly.

Lightly pigmented semi-aniline leather Pigmented leather is very family-friendly, robust and hard-wear- ing. Thanks to its thicker application of dye, it exhibits fewer natu- ral characteristics, and yet it is pleasant to the touch. It is very easy-care and resistant to domestic dirt. The colour is even and the lightfastness high.

Pigmented leather Page 16 Leather care for Longlife Xtra leather

Longlife Xtra starter set

Together with its clients, W.SCHILLIG has been very success- fully marketing the easy-care premium leather, Longlife, for many years. Its remarkable qualities are captivating: natu- ralness, extreme durability, very high light-fastness, won- derfully diverse appearance and, lust but not least, very low maintenance. Longlife leather by W.SCHILLIG has persuasive advantages compared with “standard leather”, thanks to its special processing. Common household stains are easier to remove from the surface with the Longlife Xtra care set. The Longlife leather of W.SCHILLIG is marked accordingly.

Longlife Xtra – cleaning & care for leather The high quality Longlife Xtra care set was developed es- pecially for Longlife leather by market leader LCK, together with W.SCHILLIG. A fold is a crease with a bend’. The measurement method and tolerances are set forth in RAL GZ 430/4. In the case of the so-called ‘favourite seat’ or ‘favourite lounge’, typically the seat hardness and appearance change after a short period of use. Seat hardness becomes softer, depending on the type and duration of use. A person’s weight also plays a role. This is a normal process that all upholstery undergoes. In order to achieve the longest possible lounging hardness, it is important to change one’s

Movement creases that are caused by the properties of the fabric or that occur on large up- holstered surfaces are not grounds for complaint. The formation of creases on upholstered furniture is a natural process that occurs in connection with stress, the characteristics of the furniture fabric and the movable materials.

Soft, stretchy foam fabrics and hygienic upholstery fleeces combined with synthetic materials create an intentionally casual upholstery technique. The cover fabrics on the seat and back are mainly given a loose finish. Experts appreciate this comfortable,
