Calling All Nurses:

Active, Retired and Student

The Pastoral Care Nurses of St. Bede would like to invite you to become a part of a new organization: The Diocese of Cleveland Sodality of Catholic Nurses.

A sodality is a “vintage” concept not often used these days; however, it perfectly defines our purpose: “A Sodality is a lay religious order dedicated to our Blessed Mother. The apostolic mission is to increase personal holiness in its members and others, to defend the , and to exemplify active Catholicity in our personal and professional lives. Hence, the two priority ends are the sanctification of our own souls and others.” (Lord, 1945, p. 22-23).

Many and have been Sodalists over the centuries: St. , St. Charles Borromeo, St. Margaret Mary and St. Therese the Little Flower to name a few.

We have been approved by Bishop Nelson Perez and the National Association of Catholic Nurses.

Motto: Unitum Ad Divinam Voluntatem (United in the Divine Will) Patron Saints: St. John Paul II and Blessed Hanna Chrzanowska (pronounced “Shanova”)

We will be reading the book The Imitation of Christ by Thomas A. Kempis. The book can be purchased for $7.95 at Shrine 21281 Chardon Rd., Euclid, OH 44117.

The Sodality meets at 1:00 PM the first Friday of the month at The Center for Pastoral Leadership, 28700 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, OH. Our next meeting is on Friday August 2nd .
