St. Parish, Park Forest, Illinois July 28, 2019 Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Summer at St Irenaeus! It is summer! Finally the weather and the season seem to be coming together. Midwestern heat and humidity enveloped us and wrapped us in its grip all last week, both here at in Springfield. This week summer seems a bit kinder and gentler. Let’s hope it continues. Summer in Chicago is always marked by fests and fiestas and picnics and vacations. They volunteer in the pantry and in the garden on certain days, stop by and say hello! Lastly as part of the celebration of my 25th Jubilee of I will be taking vacation in August. I have never been able to take an extended vacation of more than 4 or 5 days, so with that in mind, I will be gone from August 15 through September 15 and will be back in the office on Monday, September 16. Sunday liturgies and Reconciliation times are all covered; weekday liturgies will be a combination of liturgies and lay-led communion services. I am grateful for this time and for all who will be filling in and helping the community gather for liturgical prayer! St Irenaeus, pray for us! Fr Terry ST. IRENAEUS PRESENTS ------SUMMER FEST
