Dear Parishioners, This time of year, it can be easier to see the hand of God in His beauty of nature and creation. Our grounds at St. Joseph’s have been extremely beautiful this time of year and I appreciate the service of our staff and volunteers who work hard to keep our property beautiful for . This past week we had the privilege of Bishop Parkes visiting us for our celebration. I would like to congratulate our recently confirmed students and we also welcome into our those who are receiving Confirmation through the RCIA process this weekend at the 11:00 Mass: Gracie Davis, Trevor Johnson, Hayley Kehner, Holly Lewton, Brandon Miley, and Amy Watson. We are proud of you all, we rejoice with you, and we welcome you to the Catholic Faith! I am happy to announce that Connie Wyzalek will be joining our parish staff as our secretary/receptionist beginning in June, following the retirement of Cindy Zilaro. Although Connie and her husband Mark are longtime parishioners, we welcome Con- nie to this position for our parish and are thankful for her future service. We are planning a reception for Cindy, who has been with us for nearly 14 years, on Saturday, May 22 after the evening Mass. More information about the reception will come in the upcoming weeks. In addition, Dr. Gregory Hamilton has accepted the position of Organist and Director of Music and plans to start with us in late May or early June. Dr. Hamilton, interviewed and visited us a few weeks ago, and comes to us from Texas with extensive expe- rience in similar positions of music ministry. We look forward to welcoming him upon his arrival to St. Josephs. We are most thankful for Nelda Chapman’s service to St. Joseph’s over the past 25 years and we look forward to her continued presence throughout the transition and in the years to come. Nelda has been such an important part of our parish in leading us in the worship of God through music, and I anticipate she will continue to play for certain Masses in the future. As we celebrate all the many that surround us each day, let us continue on our journey ever closer to the Lord. God bless you all and have a wonderful week! Fr. Scott Winchel

St. Joseph’s

SJS Accepting Enrollment Applications for 2021-22

Come discover what makes Catholic schools so successful! St. Joseph’s Catholic School is accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year for prospective students. SJS offers a Catholic education to children of all faiths in grades 2K through sixth grade. There is limited availability in certain grades. We are a community of teachers, staff, and parents who believe in developing the spirit and the intellect of our students. With our philosophy of educating the “whole” child, our students learn courtesy, respect, and responsibility in addition to academics. Your child will be in an environment that is both nurturing and structured, and where academic achievements are valued and expected! Through the integration of faith, family, culture and education, St. Joseph’s Catholic School prepares our students to be productive members of the Church and society.

If you would like to see us in action, we offer one-on-one school day tours upon request. Please contact our Director of Admis- sions, Debra Harrison, at [email protected] or 742.0636.
