he National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show turns 31 and your founding producer has turned 75. Fortunately, both entities are in T good shape. Our show, which sells out of exhibitor space each year, is more popular than ever while I am in good health and good spirits. People keep asking me when I’m going to retire, but what would I retire to? Since I’ve been a show producer and author for most of my adult life, if those were taken away, what would I do with my time? I’d probably die of boredom. So I’ll never retire. HAND-MADE Also factored into that decision is my niece Emily, who is now president PASTA, CHEESES, , of Sunbelt Shows, Inc. She does all the heavy lifting for the show and the AND MORE Scovie Awards and, of course, will inherit everything eventually.
