4 5 High Littleton Primary School Green Lane Farm Bed and Breakfast At the beginning of the school year, the Department for Education releases the results for all primary schools, which allows us to gauge how successful we have been during the past twelve months. I am delighted to announce that the school continues to be in a very strong position with the attainment and progress of our children being signi cantly above national averages and in the top 10% of schools in the country.

At the end of December, Owl Class performed their nativity ‘Star, Shine Star’ whilst Years 1 and 2 performed ‘Children of the World. Both nativities were performed to a very high standard. I’m sure that, if you were lucky enough to be in the audience, you would have been as pleased as I was to see the children giving it their all. The children were a credit to the school.

Our annual Senior Citizens’ Party was held in December. We were delighted to see so many visitors, who were given a guided tour of the school as well as tea and mince pies. More details available at www.greenlanefarmbandb.co.uk Key Stage 2 pupils then joined in to sing a few Christmas carols. Alternatively please call Caroline on 01761 452833 or email [email protected]. Towards the end of last term, the whole school descended upon as we snaked our way into the Hippodrome to watch this year’s production of Aladdin with the incredible Marti Pellow! The children and sta booed, hissed and cheered our way through the performance with many a cry of “He’s behind you!” My thanks go to all the sta and volunteers who shepherded the children to and from the theatre. I’d also like to thank the children themselves. Their behaviour and manners were excellent. They made their Headteacher a very proud man indeed!
