++ Part D: Conclusions

Æ Almost all countries in SEE are economically poor Æ They do not have enough human resources (critical mass of researchers in specific fields of science) and material resources for stand-alone development, but together they can succeed Æ The people from SEE countries need collaboration in order to stabilize region Æ Even small investments in IT return great benefits Conclusions

Æ The benefits from investment in IT in SEE are: Æ Better education Æ New jobs Æ Stop brain drain Æ Better communication between countries in the region Æ Better collaboration between countries in the region Conclusions

Æ Because of turbulent political situation in some countries in region we still need support and assistance from organizations such as UNESCO- ROSTE Æ It is necessary to organize 2nd High Level Officials Meeting for the EU- Western Balkan countries Action Plan in S&T icit.masfak.ni.ac.yu
