According to the well-known concept of the America Cup, challengers from North America, Asia and Europe will come to compete against the best wine clubs of universities, leading business schools and higher education establishments in France. Chaired by Baron Eric de Rothschild, owner of Château Lafite-Rothschild, this unique Wine Tasting Competition, organised by the Commanderie du Bontemps, first came into existence in 2002. The aim of this contest is to enable the future elite of our country to come into closer contact with Great Growth wines of Bordeaux’s left bank. Many French leading business schools, higher education establishments and universities have taken part in this event since the time it was initially launched: Ecole Centrale de Paris, Dauphine University, Ecole Normale Supérieure, Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, ESSEC, HEC, Sciences-Po, Polytechnique, Ecole des Mines de Paris... Since 2004, the competition first welcomed competitors from England, the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge and their participation is now a traditional feature. -

One of the long term initiative is the University-Business Forums (UBForum). Since 2008, 20 UBForums have been organised: 6 high-level UBForums in Brussels and 13 thematic events in the Member States, with the most recent one in Helsinki in June 2016. UBForums facilitate the dissemination of good practice, encourage networking and mutual exchange of experience and provide an environment for the development of partnerships between higher education and business. The UBForum activities aim to: Encourage the transfer and sharing of knowledge; Create long-term partnerships and opportunities; Drive innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity. Academic year 2011-2012 INFORMATION BOOKLET Paris London Madrid Dortmund Riga Kaliningrad Master Degree European Business School accredited by the Ministry of Education A message from the Dean and Managing Director llow me to take a few moments of your time to outline the educational goals and the mission of EBS Paris. The focus of the EBS Paris International Business and A Management program goes beyond functional business knowledge to provide graduates with contemporary management and technological knowledge together with an understanding of the interdis- ciplinary connections of history, politics, language and culture. In this way, students are equipped to face the challenges of a global, changing world. We place great importance on the development of each individual student and we cultivate in them a values-based learning environment combining project-based, interactive academic and experiential learning opportunities through professional internships and study abroad. The International Digital Campus (IDC) will be launched in September 2011 in partnership with Microsoft and this will allow the learning process to be fully interactive. The School's professors will also be tutors to improve the process of knowledge acquisition. EBS Paris is switching from a teaching school to a learning school. The new approach to education will allow the students to use pedagogical resources as where and when they want in a blended learning format. As the actor of his or her academic and professional track, the student will fit into a nomadic way of life. Furthermore, EBS Paris has the advantage of its central Paris location which, through its presence and reputation, connects students with the international academic and professional community through the EBS International Network. -

Jones and Takao Kato November, 2010 Abstract By drawing on new interview evidence gathered during several field trips and new financial and economic data from both external and internal sources, we document and assess the changing economic importance and performance of the Mondragon group of cooperatives as well as the two largest sectors within the group. Compared to conventional firms in the Basque Country and Spain, and producer co-ops (PCs) and employee owned firms elsewhere, in general we find evidence of growing group importance and strong performance and a similarly strong record for the industrial and retail divisions. These stylized facts do not support hypotheses concerning PCs such as predictions that PCs will restrict employment and become progressively comparatively undercapitalized. In accounting for this record, we highlight key and, at times, not uncontroversial institutional developments in the group during the last 20 years or so that indicate the existence of a continuing capacity for institutional adaptation in Mondragon-- an ongoing ability to innovate and make institutional adjustments to deal with emerging challenges. In addition, we provide more detailed information than before on some key distinguishing institutional mechanisms of the Mondragon group, including the extent of worker-member transfers during economic crises, the patterns of profit pooling and the type and volume of training. -

Changing behaviour to solve environmental problems Plenary - Thursday, 24 June (8:00 AM - 9:00 AM) Components: Conceptual analysis, Literature review Categories: Changing pro-environmental behaviour, Educational settings, Changing environmental behaviour Target Audience: Beginner Linda Steg, University of Groningen Many environmental problems can be reduced when people would more consistently engage in sustainable behaviour. Many approaches to encourage sustainable behaviour target extrinsic motivation, by offering incentives that change personal costs and benefits of behaviour. Yet, such approaches may not always be as effective as assumed. I will discuss factors and strategies that can foster intrinsic motivation to act pro-environmentally. Intrinsically motivated people behave without being coerced or incentivised, even when pro-environmental behaviour is somewhat costly, as doing so is meaningful and makes them feel good. Educational Objectives: 1. Effectively communicate why acting pro-environmentally is important to encourage behavior change. 2. Explain why intrinsic motivation is an important predictor of pro-environmental action. 3. Explain how to foster intrinsic motivation. 2.
