Rachel Baber is a senior major from Sara- land, AL. Previous credits include (Queenie). This is her first time performing with SummerTide.

Jessica Berzack is a senior Musical Theatre major from Maysville, GA. Previous UA credits include City of Angels (Gabby/Bobbi), Flora, The Red Menace (Flora u/s), (ensemble), An Italian Straw Hat (Clara), The Rose Tattoo (Pepita), Show Boat (Ensemble), and Alpha Psi Omega’s See Rock City and Other Destinations (Lauren).

Sarah Kathryn Bonds is a junior Musical Theatre major at The University of Alabama. Her recent appearances include Show Boat (Dottie), Godspell (ASM, Dance Captain, and Swing), (Dolores), and An Italian Straw Hat (Wedding Guest). She is thrilled to be performing in Sum- merTide’s Jubilee.

Will Erwin is a sophomore Musical Theatre major from Huntsville, AL. Previous credits include Godspell (Jesus), (Gabe) and (Robert).

Kiley Gipson is a junior Musical Theatre and Communica- tion Studies double major from Johns Creek, GA. Previous credits include , Show Boat and All in the Timing, and her tap choreography has been featured in Dance Alabama!. This is her SummerTide debut.

Michael Luwoye is a new graduate from Huntsville, AL. Previous UA credits include Show Boat (Joe), Othello (Othello), Side Man (Jonesy), Chicago (Ensemble), City of Angels (Stone), Big River (Jim), Moby-Dick (Queequeg), Screwtape (Michael Green), (Ensemble), Saint Joan (Cauchon) and Hair (Hud). Drey Mitchell is a Musical Theatre major from Florence, AL. Previous credits include last summer’s Smokey Joe’s Café, Show Boat (Ensemble), See Rock City (Evan), City of Angels (Pasco), A New Brain (The Minister), Chicago (Ensemble), and The Altruists.

Will Travis is excited to be returning to the SummerTide stage. He is a junior double-major in Musical Theatre and Public Relations from Birmingham, AL. Previous credits include last summer’s Smokey Joe’s Café, City of Angels, Big River, , , , The Color Purple, Ain’t Misbehavin’, and Show Boat.

Edmond Williams (Director) is Professor of Theatre and Founding Chairman of the UA Department of Theatre and Dance. Dr. Williams is in his forty-second year of service to The University of Alabama. Dr. Williams has been rec- ognized with Druid Arts Awards for “Best Production of a Play” and “Theatre Educator,” honored by the National Alumni Association of The University of Alabama with their Outstanding Commitment to Teaching award, and has been a national winner in the American College Theatre Festival. Williams has circumnavigated the globe with the Semester at Sea program, and last summer served that pro- gram again with a two-month summer voyage in the Medi- terranean. Dr. Williams is a past president of the Alabama Theatre League and the Southeastern Theatre Conference. He is a member of the National Theatre Conference, an hon- orary organization of the American Theatre. He has directed many, many plays, and has worked locally, nationally, and internationally.

Raphael Crystal (Musical Director/Pianist) is the founder and director of the Musical Theatre program of the Depart- ment of Theatre and Dance. Active professionally as a com- poser, musical director, and pianist, he received a NY Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical for his score for the show Kuni-Leml. Recent premieres of his music include filmed sequences for the new Ripley’s Believe-It- Or-Not in Times Square, MegaHeroes at the Birmingham Children’s Theatre, and The Bourgeois Gentleman at the Jean Cocteau Repertory Theatre in New York. He has served as musical director for shows throughout the country, from New York to Gulf Shores. He is a member of ASCAP, The Dramatists Guild, the Musical Theatre Educators Alli- ance, SETC, and the Birmingham Art Music Alliance, and an alumnus of the BMI/Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.

Stacy Alley (Choreographer) is Assistant Professor of Mu- sical Theatre/Dance at The University of Alabama. She is also a professional director and choreographer whose re- cent credits include work at Forestburgh Playhouse in NY (, Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story), the Okla- homa Shakespearean Festival (Beauty and the Beast), and at UA’s SummerTide Theatre (Smokey Joe’s Café, Dames at Sea and ). Recent University of Alabama credits include Show Boat, Side Man, Chicago, Big River, and Flora, The Red Menace as well as pieces in Alabama Repertory Dance Theatre concerts. Stacy has been performing profes- sionally for over twenty-five years, including five years as a featured dancer in Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular. She is a member of SAG/AFTRA and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. She also serves as the Southeastern Representative for the Musi- cal Theatre Educators Alliance International, Chair of the Musical Theatre Committee for the Southeastern Theatre Conference, and Chair of the College/University Commit- tee for the Alabama Conference of Theatre. Recently, she traveled to Sweden and taught at the Ballet Academy of Gothenburg and the University of Gothenburg’s Academy of Music and Drama. Stacy holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from The University of Alabama, a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Southern Califor- nia, and is a Certified Movement Analyst through The Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in NYC.

Andy Fitch (Scenic Designer) leads the MFA program in Scenic Design. Recent designs include The Color Purple, , Hairspray, and The Drowsy Chaperone for Red Mountain Theatre; The Dixie Swim Club, , and A Lesson Before Dying for Theatre Tuscaloosa; The Three Sisters, The Grapes of Wrath, and Forever Plaid for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Andy is a founding member of the Kitchen Dog Theatre in Dallas. Donna Meester (Costume Designer) is Associate Profes- sor of Theatre and Director of Costume Design/Produc- tion at The University of Alabama. Some of her favorite designs while at UA include: Ragtime, All’s Well That Ends Well, and The Threepenny Opera. Other design credits include work for The Alabama Shakespeare Festival, The Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, The Black Rep, The Red Light Theatre (Washington D.C.), Arkan- sas State University, University of Louisiana-Monroe, Ouachita Baptist College, Henderson State University, Louisiana State University and The University of North- ern Iowa. Meester recently served as Design Chair for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival- Region IV and was the 2011 Recipient of the Kennedy Center Golden Medallion Award. An active member in the United States Institute for Theatre Design/ Technology, Donna serves as the Costume Commissioner. She holds a BS in Apparel Technology from Purdue University and an MFA in Stage Design from Southern Methodist University.

William Teague (Lighting & Sound Designer), Profes- sor of Theatre and Chair of the Department, joined the Department of Theatre and Dance in 1981. His area of specialty is entertainment technology, specifically light- ing, audio and computer assisted design (CAD). He has worked extensively in outdoor drama, television, film and special event production as well as legitimate theatre and dance. He has lighted University theatre and dance performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington, as well as the Biennial Dance Festival at the Universite de Lumiere in Lyons, France. He co-designed and served as technical director for Martha’s Sewing Room, one of the longest running and most viewed shows on Alabama Public Television. Professor Teague is also active in re- gional and national theatre organizations, serving on the executive board of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) for eight years. He received the Alabama National Alumni Association’s 2004 “Outstand- ing Commitment to Teaching Award”, and in 1996, was named “Design and Technology Educator of the Year” by USITT. Karen Baker (Stage Manager) is a UA alumna with an MFA in Directing and is pleased to be returning for her fourth year at SummerTide. Directing credits include Children of Eden, Fefu and Her Friends, City of Angels, The Baby Dance, and Screwtape. Stage Management credits include Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Dames at Sea, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, An Italian Straw Hat, and The Rose Tattoo. Karen would like to thank her husband Chris for all his love and support!

Mike Morin (Technical Director) is entering his third year as a MFA Lighting Design candidate from Atlanta, GA, where he still works as a designer. Previous UA credits include Show Boat, A New Brain, and Purgatorio. This summer is is serving as the lighting/set designer as well as the technical director for Alcestis Ascending UA’s production touring to both New York and Havana. Other lighting design credits include West Side Story and Uri- netown. Mike currently works as the lighting director at Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa. He holds a BFA in Musical Theatre.

Cooper Kennard (Percussionist) is a recent graduate of UA with a degree in Political Science and Theatre. Play- ing percussion for his second SummerTide (Dames at Sea), other credits include City of Angels (Buddy Fiddler), Side Man (Al), and Dog Sees God (Beethoven).

Brian Ernsberger (Business Manager) is entering his final year in the MFA Theatre Management program. He has worked as an actor, director, designer, techni- cal director, and a producer for various community and educational theatres.

Karina Simonis (Asst. Business Manager/Swing) is a junior Musical Theatre major. Her other credits include An Italian Straw Hat (Ensemble), All in the Timing (Phillip Glass Scene), Show Boat (Ensemble), and Lysistrata (Myr- rhine). This is her first SummerTide experience!
