10 OUR COMMUNITY
Thank you so much to the 2019 Baton Rouge Dream Street Staff! These teens work selflessly at Camp Dream Street, a one week sleep away camp for children with physical and related cognitive disabilities located on the grounds of Henry S. Jacobs in Utica, MS. Dream Street provides an environment for children with disabilities to simply be children. Your teens on staff give us a unique volunteer commitment in that they are on duty 24 hours a day for the duration of camp. Given the special needs of our campers, each staff member is assigned an individual camper and the pair participates in all meals, programs, and day to day activities together. We are always impressed with your teens' dedication, enthusiasm, compassion and selflessness, and we will always appreciate their services!

Jewish Meditation Saturday - 5:30 pm
Mindfulness meditation, a popular and effective method of finding inner peace and easing anxiety, depression, and pain, has deep Jewish roots dating back many years. Jewish meditation traces its origins to Kabbalah and was later continued and expanded upon in Hasidism. Learn more about the nature of Jewish meditation and benefit from its joyful and healing powers. We have planned an initial series of six sessions, each of which will include a Havdalah service. Held in the Gary Weill Youth Room, these participatory sessions will last about an hour, beginning at 5:30 PM on Saturdays. The schedule is as followed:
