Thanks to its invaluable scientific research into the language, history and culture of the Ladin population of the Dolomites, it has come to greatly foster and develop the local language and culture. Its many publications alongside countless cultural and educational activities have long made an outstanding contribution to the Ladin identity. The Institute is also responsible for maintaining and archive a library for Ladin studies as well as organising various cultural events.
The library (general library with video and audio rental as well as specialist library) is open from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 12 noon and on Monday to Thursday also from 3 pm to 5 pm

A few basic rules can help you do so quite easily: There are a number of paths and trails available for strolls, hiking and cycling. Please stay on them and do not cross the nearby fields or meadows. Park your car carefully and without obstructing roads and paths or access to fields and agricultural/forestry structures and buildings.
Dog owners should at all times make use of the available dog toilets. Please do not under any circumstances let your dog do its business in the fields and pastures – doing so is extremely harmful to the environment as the grass is used for grazing and as hay to feed cattle!
