Im 1. Quartal flog man einen Verlust von 4,4 Mio. Euro nach Hause, da die Energiekosten um 57 % gestiegen waren. Verglichen mit dem Vorjahreszeitraum lagen die Kosten für Kerosin sogar um 110 % höher. Sie machen mittlerweile 35 % aller Ausgaben aus. Die Modernisierung der Flotte auf A320/321 wird fortgesetzt, um mit diesen ökonomischeren Flugzeugen auf die steigenden Preise zu reagieren. Die Nachfrage ist da, denn im 1. Quartal wurden mit 1,1 Mio. Passagieren gut 10 % mehr Fluggäste an Bord begrüßt. Aerofan , bisher eine Flugschule in Madrid mit Leichtflugzeugen, stellte eine erste MD-87 in Dienst (EC-KSF, msn 53207). Air Atlanta Icelandic übernahm eine 747-200F(SCD) (TF-AAA, msn 22442). Die von Cargo Aircraft Llc geleaste Maschine flog zuletzt bei der gescheiterten Focus Air. Eine weitere soll folgen (msn 22304). Eine andere, bereits abgestellte 747-300 (TF- ARS, msn 22996) wurde ausgeschlachtet. Air Berlin baut ihr innerspanisches Netz zum Winterflugplan 2008/09 aus. Seit 8. Juli sind 70 Inlandsverbindungen buchbar – das sind fast 400 % mehr als im Vorjahr. Über das Drehkreuz Palma werden 11 spanische Städte sowie Faro miteinander verbunden.

Da die Route im öffentlichen Interesse liegt, erhält man Subventionen. Zuvor hatte Loganair diese Route inne. Dagegen wird Aer Arann die Strecke Dublin – Kerry einstellen, da Ryanair hier Streckenrechte bekommen hat. Aer Arann leaste eine BAe 146-200A (EI-CNQ, msn 2031) von CityJet und retournierte zwei ATR-72-200 an den Hersteller (EI-REF, msn 201 und EI-RED, msn 373). Aeronorte ersetzte auf der Srecke Lissabon – Vila Real – Braganca die bankrotte Aerocondor und fliegt jetzt hier 2xtäglich mit einer Let 410, die von der tschechischen Silver Air geleast wurde. Customers have drastically different expectations and, the objective of airline marketing efforts in today’s fast moving world is to maximize customer satisfaction. For this reason, airline marketers offer more products and services than ever before. In the airline industry understanding what passengers need and expect is essential to providing desired service quality (Gilbert & Wong, 2003) and consequently to understand the airline’s performance levels (Chen & Chang, 2005). An in-depth review of related literature has revealed that a majority of travel researchers tend to define quality as meeting passengers’ needs and expectations. Since customer expectations of service quality may vary at different stages in the service process, it has been strongly argued that in practice, most airlines measure passenger perceptions of their service offerings in order to evaluate and understand the airline's performance level without clear knowledge of passengers' expectations for service in each stage. Consequently, lack of understanding or misunderstanding such expectations could pose serious problems in resource allocation decisions. However, most airlines do not recognize the importance of this approach.

Araştırma kapsamında, devletin gerçekleştirdiği kurumsal işleri tespit edebilmek ve devletin kurumsal girişimciliğini betimlemek için alan düzeyinde bir analiz gerçekleştirilmiştir. Analiz birimi olarak Türk havayolu taşımacılığı alanı incelenmiştir. La circulation des hommes et des biens dans le champ migratoire turc : itinéraires et impacts économiques Une expression nouvelle connaît un véritable succès dans le petit monde de la recherche sur les migrations internationales ou, comme on le dit parfois, de la « migratologie »1 : la circulation migratoire. Qui dit migration dit nécessairement déplacement de résidence entre deux lieux, ne serait-ce qu’une unique fois et sur une courte distance ; qui dit circulation dit nécessairement déplacements multiples entre deux lieux, parfois lointains, mais avec une relative régularité entre ces deux lieux et un retour fréquent, sinon quotidien, à la « case départ », lieu de résidence. Dans la première situation, le voyage ou le transit ne sont guère étudiés, sauf dans le cas très particulier et récent de nouvelles études sur les migrations de transit, généralement irrégulières (sinon cette étude ne soulève a priori que peu d’intérêt), dans le second cas, les itinéraires empruntés par la circulation seront nécessairement analysés, ne serait-ce que pour faciliter physiquement, avec les infrastructures adéquates, l’écoulement des flux et des trafics. 1 Hervé DOMENACH : « De la migratologie », Revue Européenne des Migrations Internationales, (12) 2, 73- 86. 27 Les vocables mobilité, migration, circulation, bien plus que ceux de diaspora, nomad(ism)e, appartiennent au vocabulaire courant, mais tous sont abondamment repris et analysés par la recherche en sciences humaines et sociales, car les enjeux, en termes de gestion des flux de population et de main-d’œuvre, de transferts de qualifications et de savoir- faire, de sécurité intérieure et internationale (surtout depuis le 11 septembre 2001), de transferts économiques et de potentialités de développement (sujet connu depuis longtemps mais qui prend un relief nouveau et particulier avec le rapport de Kofi Annan, Secrétaire Général des Nations Unies) sont aujourd’hui immenses2.
