[email protected] OVER BLACK: After the Second American Civil War in 2051, separatists citing the white supremacist novel "The Turner Diaries" as inspiration took most of the West Coast as their new home. The Turner Coalition of States, led by a series of ruthless leaders, have turned the area into a white ethnostate. People of color and the LGBT community find themselves as third class citizens... or worse. Two hundred years after the Greatest Generation turned back Hitler's regime... American Nazis now hold the West Coast. The United States of America and the Turner Coalition have had an uneasy truce for nearly a hundred years.... until now. FADE IN:

EXT. SKY - AFTERNOON SUPER: Northern France, May 1943. The sky is filled with AMERICAN BOMBERS, AMERICAN FIGHTER PLANES and GERMAN FIGHTER PLANES in combat during Operation Crossbow. The CHICAGO BELLE (Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress) drops bombs. A handful of German fighters shoot up the middle of the plane. American fighter planes chase them off.

INT. CHICAGO BELLE - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS CAPTAIN IRA "RUSTY" KOLODZIEJSKI (late 20s) grips the yoke tightly. He's handsome with a strong jaw. Leadership beams off him. Bullet holes are noticeable throughout the cabin. Gunfire hits one of the engines. BEN STONE (mid 20s, co-pilot) sprints inside. His face has sheer fucking terror all over it. RUSTY Why aren't we firing back?!?! BEN STONE Smith and Jenkins are down.

(CONTINUED) 2. CONTINUED:

One engine goes out. BEN STONE (CONT’D) We're a sitting duck, sir! Gunfire rattles the other engine. RUSTY Grab one of the god damn waist guns and return fire, DAMN IT! The second engine dies.

EXT. SKY - CONTINUOUS The Chicago Belle falls out of the sky.

INT. CHICAGO BELLE - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS Rusty pulls on the yoke. RUSTY Climb, baby, climb! The plane keeps falling. Ben sprints into the cockpit holding two parachutes. One is riddled with bullets. BEN STONE Sir? Rusty turns around and spots the parachutes. He grabs the one riddled with bullets. RUSTY I promised I'd get you home if it was the last thing I do. BEN STONE Not like this, sir. You can't-- RUSTY That's an order, Lieutenant. Ben nods to Rusty before leaving. Rusty turns back and looks below. The ground approaches quickly. Rusty takes a picture of his FAMILY out of his jacket. He kisses it and places the photo on the dashboard. 3.

EXT. NORTHERN FRANCE - MOMENTS LATER The area is war torn, bombs landing in the distance. The Chicago Belle screams into the ground. The picture of Rusty's family flies through the air.

INT. TIME MACHINE ROOM - NIGHT SUPER: Somewhere in the southern Mojave Desert, June 2143 The room is several stories tall. A large TIME MACHINE dominates the room. A strange blue glow emanates from a POWER SOURCE nearby. A large medical table is connected to it. Readouts of energy levels, atmospheric conditions, oxygen levels and hundreds of other things all compete for attention. HEAD SCIENTIST CASPER STANTON (mid 40s). LAB TECHNICIANS are around the machine, preparing it. Casper is a tall, thin man with a raspy voice. His eyes show a distaste for his position. He sees a large folder marked "Ultra Top Secret" and labeled "Operation Time Sword." Casper hands it to VICE PRESIDENT DAN HOROWITZ (mid 50s), who's directly behind him. Horowitz is a weaselly looking man with a receding hairline. CASPER STANTON I bet some guys in the CIA-- DAN HOROWITZ They can't get past the facial scanning tech. These guys will. CASPER STANTON This could end existence. DAN HOROWITZ Think of how many Nobel Prizes you're going to win when it works. Casper turns to the console and looks it over. CASPER STANTON I can't believe the President allows this.

(CONTINUED) 4. CONTINUED:

DAN HOROWITZ There's nothing better than two words in the dictionary: plausible deniability. Casper looks at Dan and shakes his head he. He presses a button. A bright blue light flashes. A chicken lands with a THUD onto the ground. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) At least it's alive. A Technician walks up to it. It doesn't move. CASPER STANTON This is the second time this has failed. The power grid-- DAN HOROWITZ Will hold up. (looks at the chicken) Can you get that to the kitchen?

EXT. DOWNTOWN SEATTLE - MORNING (TWO MONTHS LATER) Turner States flags are everywhere. Large statues of TURNER STATE PRIME MINISTERS are all over the area. TURNER BROWN SHIRTS armed with machine guns are on every corner. TURNER CITIZENS shuffle orderly through the city.

EXT. COFFEE SHOP - CONTINUOUS An entourage of Turner Security led by HEAD OF SECURITY WALTER DAX (mid 40s) walk towards the shop. Someone of importance that we can't see is in the middle of the guards. Walter is nearly seven feet tall and frighteningly powerful. Walter's skull is shaved, a number of scars populate the base of his skull. He holds up his hand. The entourage stops. Walter walks into the shop. A WANNABE ASSASSIN (mid 20s) looks on from around the corner. 5.

INT. COFFEE SHOP - CONTINUOUS A number of COFFEE SHOP EMPLOYEES (all people of color) diligently work. They have number tattoos on their necks and monitoring bracelets around their ankles. Several Security Cameras scan the shop. A light on the camera is green. A handful of TURNER CITIZENS linger around. Two are seated. One looks around. TURNER CITIZEN #1 Ron's late. The second citizen looks around. TURNER CITIZEN #2 (quietly) The Stasi picked him up last night. Walter walks in. He looks around and then waves his hand. An armed Security Team walks in. A handful stare down the Coffee Shop Employees, their weapons pointed in their general direction. TURNER COALITION PRIME MINISTER PERCY MALPHUS (mid 50s) walks into the shop and up to the counter. He has a full head of salt and pepper hair and soulless eyes. Everything about him radiates evil. One of the Employees hands him a mug of coffee, looking away from him as she does so. The Assassin walks in and brandishes a knife. The camera's lights turn red. WANNABE ASSASSIN DEATH TO TYRANTS! He charges the Minister with the knife. A large hand GRASPS his knife holding hand and squeezes... HARD. CLANG! The knife bounces off the floor as Walter stares the Assassin in the eyes. We hear bones BREAK and terrifying screams of pain from the Assassin.

(CONTINUED) 6. CONTINUED:

The citizens exit in a panic. PERCY MALPHUS Enough. Walter lets go, the Assassin falling to the ground. He grasps his hand, clearly in pain. One of the security guards walks up to him and takes out a scanner. He aims it at the Assassin's face. A hologram with all of the Assassin's personal information pops up. He's a member of the Resistance. WALTER The new facial rec is remarkable. PERCY MALPHUS The French paid us several billion dollars for it. The guards handcuff the Assassin. PERCY MALPHUS (CONT’D) Take him in for interrogation. WALTER Extra painful. They nod. WANNABE ASSASSIN GOD NO! PLEASE! The guards drag him out. Walter's phone rings. He hands it to Malphus. WALTER General Smith. Percy nods. The Security Team Member hands him the phone. TCS GENERAL (O.S.) The trap is set. PERCY MALPHUS Take him in the air.

INT. TURNER MILITARY BASE - GENERAL'S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS A picture of Malphus is prominently displayed on a wall.

(CONTINUED) 7. CONTINUED:

Through a window we see the parts of a massive military base from high up in the air. The General sits behind a desk on the phone. TCS GENERAL Yes, Der Fuhrer. An ASSISTANT walks in and hands the General a report titled "Missing Slaves." The General opens it up and signs a piece of paperwork labeled "Slave Tracking Authorization." The Assistant takes the paperwork and exits.

EXT. TURNER MILITARY BASE - CONTINUOUS A large tower dominates the massive base. A large factory with an internment camp is nearby. A massive number of TURNER ARMY TROOPERS are in formation, surrounded by tanks and implements of war. PERCY MALPHUS (O.S.) When the Allies won World War Two they celebrated with V.E and V.J day. Our V.A day will be soon. In the distance we can see a group of SLAVES walking towards the factory with Turner Soldiers escorting them. One of the Slaves falls to the ground. A Turner Soldier walks over and casually shoots the slave in the head. TCS GENERAL (O.S.) Yes, Der Fuhrer.

EXT. BEIJING RUNWAY - SEVERAL HOURS LATER An armored convoy drives onto the airstrip to AIR FORCE ONE. Air Force One has large, box-like engines that emanate a red energy. A large stairway connects to it from the ground. A green light cuts across the entrance. SECRET SERVICE AGENTS exit the vehicle and surround one of the cars.

(CONTINUED) 8. CONTINUED:

WAYNE CUTLER (mid 50s, President of the United States) exits the vehicle. He's tall and handsome. Charisma emanates off him like bad cologne, his voice powerful and authoritative. His Advisor exits after he does. WAYNE CUTLER My predecessor said the Security Council wasn't very sympathetic and I didn't believe him. The two men walk to the stairway. They're followed by a Secret Service Agent carrying the NUCLEAR FOOTBALL, the briefcase with the codes to America's nuclear arsenal. A futuristic handcuff is connected to his wrist. ADVISOR His predecessor probably told him the same thing. The President walks past the green light, which turns blue. Wayne walks up the stairs and into Air Force One. The light turns green. The Advisor walks across the green light, which turns blue. He walks up and into Air Force One.

INT. AIR FORCE ONE - CABIN - CONTINUOUS The President and his Advisor walk into the cabin. They find their seats and sit down. The Advisor reaches into a seat and pulls out a tablet computer. He yawns. The Agent with the Nuclear Football sits across the aisle from the President. The President waves his hand. The tablet turns on. Wayne pulls up several reports and goes through them. A number of SECRET SERVICE AGENTS board the plane. A handful have large, over-sized coats on.

INT. AIR FORCE ONE - CABIN - SEVERAL HOURS LATER (FLYING) The Advisor snores. (CONTINUED) 9. CONTINUED:

The President reads a report on his tablet. He looks out a window and then pulls up a flight report on his tablet. We see Air Force One is close to the Turner border. The President nudges his Advisor awake. The President shows him the tablet. The Advisor reaches into his pocket and places an EMERGENCY DEVICE around the President's wrist. A Secret Service Agent walks past them, scratching his neck. The Agent pulls his shirt down just enough to scratch a little deeper, revealing a TCS map tattoo. The President sets off an alarm system on his tablet, bricking it.

INT. AIR FORCE ONE - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS The console is all digital. "Autopilot" is indicated. A PILOT and CO-PILOT look out the windows when a red light comes on. The Pilot turns to it. The Co-Pilot reaches into a lock box and pulls out a pistol. He points it at the Pilot. CO-PILOT Don't do a thing or-- The Pilot reaches for the gun and they fight over it. They struggle for it. The Pilot's elbow hits an emergency button. A loud alarm goes off, blaring loudly.

EXT. SKY - CONTINUOUS Air Force One flies through the air. We see the coast of Northern California thousands of feet below. The S.S GOEBBELS, a Turner Coalition Gunboat, is in the distance. A large Nazi style Skull and Crossbones adorns the hull. Several armed TURNER SAILORS stand on the bow of the boat, looking on menacingly.

INT. AIR FORCE ONE - CABIN - CONTINUOUS The alarm blares throughout the cabin.

(CONTINUED) 10. CONTINUED:

Several of the Secret Service Agents remove their jackets, revealing themselves to be TURNER AGENTS armed with machine guns. The Turner Agents point them around the cabin. One grabs the President out of his chair and puts a gun to his head. TURNER AGENT #1 Nobody move! A Turner Agent with a large knife approaches the Agent with the nuclear football. SLICE! The Secret Service Agent's forearm is cleaved through, the Nuclear Football falling to the ground. The Agent screams in pain, his detached hand falling out of the wrist container. TURNER AGENT #1 (CONT’D) Get the-- BANG! BANG! He hits the ground, dead, as a Secret Service Agent emerges. BANG! The Secret Service Agent falls to the ground dead. A second Turner Agent grabs the wrist container and places it on the President's hand. He picks up the Nuclear Football and places it on the President's lap. Another Turner Agent puts his gun to the President's head. TURNER AGENT #2 Drop the guns and no one gets hurt! The rest of the Secret Service Agents emerge, guns drawn. They stare down their Turner counterparts. The President motions for them to put their guns down. The Turner Agent pulls the President to his feet. WAYNE CUTLER Do what he says. Every Secret Service Agent drops their guns and put their hands in the air. The President sits down, gun still pointed at his head. 11.

INT. AIR FORCE ONE - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS The Pilot and Co-Pilot struggle for the gun. The gun goes off several times. One hits the control panel, disabling it. Another kills the Pilot. AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER (O.S.) Air Force One, repeat, do you copy? The Co-Pilot turns the alarm off. The controls don't respond to his touch.

INT. MILITARY CONTROL TOWER - CONTINUOUS AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS monitor air traffic throughout the western half of North America. A MILITARY OFFICER stares over the shoulder of one. Air Force One has an emergency beacon on... and then it shuts off. MILITARY OFFICER Call it in and alert the White House.

INT. AIR FORCE ONE - CABIN - MOMENTS LATER The President is upfront with the Turner Agents. The rest of the Secret Service are in the rear. The Turner Agents open fire, killing everyone on board but the President. The President screams as the bodies of the Agents and Crew fall to the ground, dead. Another Turner Agent spots the Emergency Device. He takes it off the President's wrist and throws it far away from him. The Co-Pilot walks in. CO-PILOT We're going to fall out of the sky. TURNER AGENT Get him ready.

EXT. SKY - MOMENTS LATER All but one of the Turner Agents all parachute out. The final Turner Agent jumps out in a tandem parachute, the President connected to him. (CONTINUED) 12. CONTINUED:

Air Force One flies off the distance, slowly angling downward. It crashes into the ocean and explodes on impact. The Agents and the President land far away from it. The Gunboat maneuvers towards them.

INT. WHITE HOUSE - HALLWAY - SEVERAL HOURS LATER Dan stands next to SENATOR STANLEY JACKSON (mid 50s). He's tall, thinly built with a steely demeanor. DAN HOROWITZ Senator Jackson, I need-- STANLEY JACKSON Do you have definitive proof? DAN HOROWITZ My gut says-- STANLEY JACKSON To assume the full weight and powers of the Presidency you need definitive proof of his incapacity per the Sanders act. DAN HOROWITZ The Navy will be there soon but we need to act. This is an act of war. STANLEY JACKSON So far all we know is Air Force One crashed. When that changes Congress can authorize you to act. The Senator walks away. ANITA VAN DYKE (late 20s, CIA Operative) approaches Dan with a folder in her hand. Bad ass just oozes off her. ANITA VAN DYKE Secretary Horowitz! DAN HOROWITZ Hey Anita. Good to see Comey sent his best to brief me. (beat) Can you walk and talk? She nods. He walks down the hallway. She follows him. (CONTINUED) 13. CONTINUED:

ANITA VAN DYKE We have a source that says he's there under lock and key. Comey thinks it's disinformation. DAN HOROWITZ And you? ANITA VAN DYKE This is the same source that smuggled me out during Operation Wildfire. I trust them. He stops and looks around. Anita stops. DAN HOROWITZ You defected here, right? ANITA VAN DYKE My mother and I came here through the southwestern border when I was young. DAN HOROWITZ Rumor has it the Wolf's Lair is around there. ANITA VAN DYKE The station is there. Getting to the inner sanctum will take a combination of luck and bullshit. Dan stops. He looks in either direction before turning to Anita. DAN HOROWITZ Do you have Ultra Top Secret Clearance, Agent Van Dyke? ANITA VAN DYKE Yes sir. DAN HOROWITZ Come with me.

EXT. SECRET FACILITY - SEVERAL HOURS LATER An abandoned regional airport deep in the heart of the Mojave Desert masks a massive military base underneath the surface. A Black Hawk Helicopter begins to land in the heliport, it's blades moving fast but silent.

(CONTINUED) 14. CONTINUED:

The skids emerge from the bottom of the chopper and sync perfectly with the helicopter's descent. The helicopter lands in pure silence. Anita and Dan exit the helicopter. A handful of Secret Service Agents follow them off and into the facility.

INT. SECRET FACILITY CONFERENCE ROOM - MOMENTS LATER A large conference room with a number of file drawers scattered all over. A large table dominates the room. Dan and Casper walk in. DAN HOROWITZ Operation Time Sword is a go. CASPER STANTON I want direct authorization from Congress. DAN HOROWITZ They've got the Football. We have to act now, before they break it. Casper looks around and takes a deep breath. CASPER STANTON (under his breath) I should've worked with aliens. (normal voice) I've made some adjustments to the-- DAN HOROWITZ Don't science me. Make this so simple a moron could understand. Casper takes out a tablet computer and places it on the table. CASPER STANTON (under his breath) And I've got a moron to explain it to. (normal voice) Assuming time is linear-- DAN HOROWITZ That's too much science. Dan swipes his hand across the table twice. A small box with two thumbprints emerges from the table. (CONTINUED) 15. CONTINUED:

Casper and Dan place their thumbs on it at the same time. It opens up, revealing a thumb drive. Casper connects it to the tablet. He presses another button. A large "calculating" comes up. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) This is a four man job, minimum. CASPER STANTON I can't promise it'll work at all. DAN HOROWITZ The President's death is on your hands if it doesn't. CASPER STANTON HOW? I'm just-- DAN HOROWITZ The brilliant scientist who's device is going to redefine the way we look at the physical nature of the universe and all of existence.

INT. TIME MACHINE ROOM - MOMENTS LATER Casper walks in and up to the console. He types on it. Anita and Dan walk in. Anita looks around, awestruck. DAN HOROWITZ You're the first person outside of anyone in this room to see this. ANITA VAN DYKE How does it work? DAN HOROWITZ It requires degrees in quantum physics and particle mechanics. Casper turns around and glares at Dan. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) Saved you the time. Casper turns back. He types on the console. The machine fires up. A bright blue light flashes. Rusty appears on the medical table. He's naked and lands on the table with a thud. He looks around, disoriented, before passing out. (CONTINUED) 16. CONTINUED:

Anita's jaw drops as she looks around the room. Casper is stunned. Dan has a big, shit-eating grin on his face. A number of MEDICAL TECHNICIANS appear, wheeling in a gurney and putting futuristic medical equipment onto the pilot. We see Rusty's vital signs are stable. They put Rusty on the gurney and wheel him away. CASPER STANTON We need to stop now. We don't-- DAN HOROWITZ Do it again. Casper turns to him. Horowitz stares a hole through him. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) I SAID DO IT AGAIN, DAMMIT! Casper types on the console. The machine hums.

INT. PRISON CELL - CONTINUOUS The cell is cold and damp. A small toilet and sink are in one corner, an old and beaten mattress in the other. The President is thrown inside. The nuclear football rattles off the ground. Begin montage Scene: We see STAFF SERGEANT MARCUS JACKSON (25, black) in the jungles of Vietnam. He's a powerfully built, dangerous looking man with a permanent scowl. Danger and violence oozes out of his pores. He's surrounded by fellow ARMY RANGERS. They're surrounded by an ambush from VIET CONG SOLDIERS. The Rangers are dying quickly. Marcus grabs his M-16 and single-handedly routes the Viet Cong. A blue light surrounds him as a mortar approaches him. Scene: We see 2ND LIEUTENANT STEVEN CHAN (23, Asian) sprinting through the streets of Fallujah, Iraq, during the second Gulf War.

(CONTINUED) 17. CONTINUED:

Steven is handsome enough to think he's a model posing for a recruiting poster. Everything about him screams "professional soldier." A TANK is on fire as MARINES battle INSURGENTS. Steven sprints to the tank under heavy fire. He pulls out a Marine from the tank and sprints back to friendly lines. Another Marine screams in pain from inside. Steven sprints back to it under heavy fire. He jumps in the tank and throws the marine out. An RPG screams towards the tank. Blue light flashes from inside the tank. Scene: We see SERGEANT CONOR WALSH (mid 30s) in a trench in the south of France during World War 1. Conor is the most Irish looking man ever. He has a trench knife in one hand, an M1911 in the other. Bombs are exploding all around them. ALLIED SOLDIERS are retreating from the trench. Bodies of GERMAN SOLDIERS are all over the place. A handful of Germans rush Conor. He quickly dispatches them. A blue light surrounds him as bombs explode all around him. End montage

INT. TIME MACHINE ROOM - AN HOUR LATER The machine pulsates as we see Conor appear on the table naked. The medical technicians approach him quickly. DAN HOROWITZ Keep going. CASPER STANTON We're in unprecedented territory! You don't know the consequences-- Dan grabs Casper by the collar and looks him in the eyes. DAN HOROWITZ Listen up you little chickenshit. If you don't-- A loud pop comes from the power source. And then another. Casper takes Dan's hands off him and looks to the console. BOOM! (CONTINUED) 18. CONTINUED:

A large explosion rocks the time machine, knocking Dan and Casper to the ground. Dan looks around groggily. The blue light has disappeared. A handful of technicians are on the ground, wounded or dead. CRASH! Tiles fall from the ceiling all over the room.

INT. SECRET FACILITY RECOVERY ROOM - SEVERAL HOURS LATER The room is white and Spartan. Rusty is in bed, snoring. A number of medical devices are attached to him. An ill-fitting medical gown is haphazardly on him, as if someone tried to dress him quickly and failed. Everything about Rusty, from his weight to every vital sign possible, are on a number of screens. A futuristic black military uniform is hung across from the bed. Captain's bars are on the lapel. He wakes up and looks around. Rusty's eyes open wide in amazement. RUSTY Where is Saint Peter? He looks to the side and sees his vital signs. Rusty stares for a moment, perplexed at the volume of information. RUSTY (CONT’D) What in the hell? The pilot stands up. His medical gown falls off, revealing a chiseled physique. Rusty spots the military uniform and walks over to it. Rusty spots the medical monitors and walks over. His eyes open wide. What the hell? He waves his hand at it. His medical history comes up. RUSTY (CONT’D) The hell. We see records from various Chicago hospitals, x-rays and such all come up. He is gobsmacked at the volume of information.

(CONTINUED) 19. CONTINUED:

He walks up to the door. There is no door handle. Rusty puts his hand where a handle should be. A green light scans his hand and turns red. Rusty stares at it for a while before kicking the door. Nothing. Rusty pounds on the door. RUSTY (CONT’D) This is kidnapping! The door buzzes. Rusty looks at it oddly as it opens. Dan is on the other side. DAN HOROWITZ Sorry about that... I've been busy. Rusty walks to his bed and sits down. RUSTY So what's the prognosis, doctor? Dan walks in with a folder in his hands. He sits down and opens it, going through it. DAN HOROWITZ Captain Ira Kolodziejski, Captain of the Chicago Belle. RUSTY Only my mother calls me Ira. Everyone else calls me Rusty. DAN HOROWITZ What's the last thing you remember? RUSTY I was in the cockpit of the Belle. DAN HOROWITZ It's August fifteenth in the year twenty one forty three. Dan walks up to the medical devices and waves his hand. We see the remnants of Rusty's life on the screens: A newspaper article about his death. RUSTY'S WIFE ages and we see her obituary as an elderly woman. RUSTY'S DAUGHTERS grow up, have families and then die. His PARENTS die. His HOUSE is bought and sold, then torn down.

DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) Officially you died on the bridge of the Chicago Belle, posthumously winning the Medal of Honor. RUSTY (crushed) This is... this is-- DAN HOROWITZ This is the fourth conversation like this that I've had today. Dan takes a deep breath. He and Rusty's eyes connect for a moment. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) I need you to do one more mission for your country. Say yes and you'll see your family again. RUSTY How? DAN HOROWITZ Time travel goes in each direction. You can decline and we'll send you back to the point of your death on the Chicago Belle. RUSTY Hell of a choice, huh? (nods, takes a deep breath) If it's a chance to see my wife again then I'll do whatever you want, sir.

INT. SECRET FACILITY - HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER Casper and Dan walk down the hallway. He hands a tablet to Dan, who reads it. Anita trails behind them looking at a tablet. CASPER STANTON I bet a history professor would love to talk to a genuine World War Two pilot right now. ANITA VAN DYKE We have a problem. They both turn to her. She shows them the tablet. 21.

INT. SECRET FACILITY - PREP ROOM - HOURS LATER The room is Spartan with a large, black table in the center. Marcus is in the rear of the room. He's in a similar futuristic military as Rusty. Steven walks into the room in a similar futuristic uniform. He glares at Marcus. STEVEN Last time I checked you were supposed to be at attention. MARCUS You're the third butter bar this week for me. The jungle didn't treat them very well. Conor walks into the room. He looks at Steven's lapel and salutes him. CONOR Sir. Steven and Marcus look at him oddly. CONOR (CONT’D) I'm from Dublin. They said it'd be easier to become a citizen if I enlisted in the "Great War." STEVEN When I went to Annapolis they said it's peace time, Stevie, no way you'll see combat. MARCUS At least you had a choice, Bruce Lee. STEVEN I'm guessing it was what... Vietnam or jail? Marcus stands up and looks at him menacingly. MARCUS I earned my rank. STEVEN Excuse me?

Steven walks up to him. Conor steps between them. MARCUS I can smell privilege a mile away. CONOR Come on, boys, we're all soldiers. Rusty walks into the room. You can cut the tension with a knife. RUSTY Everything alright here? Everyone turns to see Rusty. Steven sees his captain's bars and stands at attention. STEVEN (shouts) ATTENTION! Conor snaps to attention. Marcus looks at him and chuckles. MARCUS Figures the two pretty boys are in charge. RUSTY Excuse me, Sergeant? MARCUS The L.T and I were just having a fun chat about-- CONOR Anyone like dogs? Everyone turns to him. He rolls his sleeve down and we see a tattoo on his forearm of three bearded collies. CONOR (CONT’D) We've got three on our farm. STEVEN Are those sheepdogs? CONOR Bearded collies. They're smaller-- MARCUS You ever notice there's always a veterinary clinic next to a Chinese restaurant?

Steven tackles Marcus to the ground and throws punches at him. Conor tries to pull Steven off as Rusty sighs. Rusty sprints over to the fracas.

INT. SECRET FACILITY - HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER Anita and Dan walk towards the conference room. We hear a fight coming from inside the room. DAN HOROWITZ That doesn't sound good.

INT. SECRET FACILITY - PREP ROOM - MOMENTS LATER All four men are in the middle of a donnybrook as Dan and Anita walk in. Anita whistles and everyone turns to them. RUSTY Umm... sorry, Mister Secretary. All four men sit down. Steven adjusts his uniform. DAN HOROWITZ Lady and gentleman, welcome to Operation Time Sword. CONOR You'd think they'd have gotten more creative over the years. RUSTY Sergeant! Rusty glares at the two. They both nod to him and turn their attention to Dan. MARCUS (under his breath to Conor) Like the suit's ever been downrange. Rusty and Steven turn and look at Marcus. He shrugs. DAN HOROWITZ You are all here because of what you can do on the field of battle. (beat) (MORE) (CONTINUED) 24. CONTINUED: DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) Captain Rusty Kolodziejski, captain of the Chicago Belle. He won his Medal of Honor during Operation Crossbow over France. (beat) Lieutenant Chan, Marine Corps of Engineering and Medal of Honor winner at the Battle of Fallujah. (beat) Staff Sergeant Marcus Jackson. Two Purple Heart and more awards for valor and gallantry in combat than anyone in the Vietnam conflict. The Medal of Honor was well deserved. (beat) Sergeant Conor Walsh wrote the book on close quarters combat during the trenches of the first world war. Your Medal of Honor was during the battle of Saint Mihiel. (beat) You four are some of the finest men to ever serve this country. Dan grabs a tablet computer nearby. He waves his hand over it. We see the American map, labeled "circa 2000." DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) We don't have a lot of time so pay attention. We see the Pacific Northwest and most of Northern California turn brown and "Turner Coalition of States, 2055" pop up. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) One hundred years ago America ended a second civil war. Two million people died in it. (beat) The Turner Coalition of States was created in the armistice. Dan waves his hand. We see a number of cities and facts about the Turner Coalition. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) The Pacific Northwest and parts of Northern California were ceded to the rebellion. The Secretary waves his hand again. We see a brief timeline of events from 2040 to now.

We see graphic images of combat, guerrilla warfare and terrorist bombings. The Soldiers look around. Everyone is trying to process this. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) It... it was a different time. Horowitz waves his hand. We see pictures of people in the streets protesting and political violence. We see the Turner Coalition Flag. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) The rebellion that fractured the United States was inspired by "The Turner Diaries," a seminal white supremacist novel. MARCUS The what? We see pictures of Seattle, now cloaked in Nazi imagery. DAN HOROWITZ The "Turner Diaries" is about a bunch of racists who overthrow the system and exterminate non-whites. Their ethnostate is named after the novel. Horowitz waves his hand. We see news headlines showing acts of violence on both sides of the border. Horowitz waves his hand. We see images of the President. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) Approximately thirty six hours ago President Cutler was kidnapped off of Air Force One by Turner agents. Horowitz waves his hand again. A picture of Wayne Cutler being sworn in as President comes across the screen alongside a diverse group of FORMER PRESIDENTS.

DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) He's being held in their most secure location, the Wolf's Lair. We see pictures of a train station. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) The only way in is through here. Dan waves his hand again. A map pops up indicated their drop point and a path to the train station. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) Your mission is to exfiltrate the President from the Wolf's Lair and back to American soil. Horowitz waves his hand. We see the Nuclear Football. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) This holds the key to America's nuclear arsenal and was with the President when he was taken. Horowitz waves his hand. We see the full extent of America's nuclear capabilities. Horowitz waves his hand. We see futuristic nuclear weapons and "carbon neutral, environmentally friendly" tabs. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) The hippies wanted nuclear energy without the radioactive waste. Turns out you could weaponize it. Everyone is mortified.

INT. PRISON CELL - MOMENTS LATER Wayne wakes up and looks around. He sees the food and shakes his head. The President stands up and looks into the mirror. He turns the water on and washes his face. KNOCK! KNOCK! He turns as the door opens. Percy Malphus and a PRIVATE SECURITY TEAM walk into the room. PERCY MALPHUS You're the first American President to visit the Wolf's Lair. (CONTINUED) 27. CONTINUED:

WAYNE CUTLER This is an act of war. My people-- PERCY MALPHUS Think it's an accident. Cutler glares at him, angry and annoyed. PERCY MALPHUS (CONT’D) You can save millions of lives right now or-- WAYNE CUTLER I don't negotiate with terrorists. Percy takes out a pair of brass knuckles and places them on his hand. PERCY MALPHUS I think we got off on the wrong foot. We both want the same thing. (beat) Think of the sixty percent plus white population of America. They're the same color as you and I. They would-- WAYNE CUTLER Not want their skin color to determine their position in life. PERCY MALPHUS And here I was hoping you'd give me the nuclear codes willingly. WAYNE CUTLER Never. PERCY MALPHUS Oh well. I'll have to hack them the old fashioned way. Malphus motions. One of the guards takes out a pair of large bolt cutters and detaches it from the President's wrist. Malphus walks up and punches Cutler in the face. The back of his head hits the wall with a thud. He goes out immediately. Malphus picks up the football and hands it to a TECHNICIAN. PERCY MALPHUS (CONT’D) (to technician) Get that to the tech boys. (MORE) (CONTINUED) 28. CONTINUED: (2) PERCY MALPHUS (CONT’D) (to Cutler) I thought you could take a punch.

INT. SECRET FACILITY - PREP ROOM - MOMENTS LATER Horowitz waves his hand. We see a near exact replica of Hitler's Wolfsschanze. Buildings with Nazi homages and a number of statues of former Turner Prime Ministers are centered around a main building. A large hangar is in the distance. Arrows point to a small building labeled "Private Prison." DAN HOROWITZ We're fairly certain the President is there. RUSTY Couldn't you have just sent in modern forces? DAN HOROWITZ Every person is born scanned so any black ops team we send in will be spotted well before they can get a sniff of the President's cologne. Dan waves his hand and we see a slide with a large eyeball on it. A Turner flag scans it and we see a fictitious person's identity. A banner emerges from it that says "Turner Facial Tech: we know who you are before you do." All four American soldiers are noticeably shocked. ANITA VAN DYKE The Turner Coalition has a number of self styled free inhabitants living off the land that they leave be. They'll classify us in with their undocumented masses. MARCUS Why don't you arm them? DAN HOROWITZ They tried.

STEVEN (to Anita) The company didn't learn from the Bay of Pigs, huh? RUSTY (to Steven) The what? MARCUS (to Rusty) Your generation loved fucking with other countries. Horowitz coughs loudly. The room turns to him. DAN HOROWITZ This is Anita Van Dyke of the Central Intelligence Agency. She fled from the Turner States as a child and will run point. RUSTY If she's one of them... won't they know it? Anita grabs at her wrist and pulls her hand off. We see the inner working of a cybernetic body part. Her left eye turns an unnatural red and glows. She turns her head and her jaw adjusts unnaturally. The Soldiers look at her in shock. AMERICAN SOLDIERS Holy shit. There's a long pause in the room. ANITA VAN DYKE My arm, my eye, my jaw and parts of my upper body are all cybernetic. I can adjust my face by enough microns to fool their cameras. RUSTY Couldn't you have done that to a whole bunch of people and-- DAN HOROWITZ She's the only one who's survived the surgery.

CONOR Nuts for nothing but I don't want to have to protect a girl on this. (to Anita) There's a reason why women aren't on the front lines. DAN HOROWITZ I don't think-- ANITA VAN DYKE He's a grown man, Mister Secretary. He can handle himself. DAN HOROWITZ By all means. Anita looks at him and nods. CONOR This'll be fun. Conor stands up and assumes an old time boxing stance. Anita smiles. ANITA VAN DYKE Just remember... you wanted this. Conor smiles and moves to her. She casually walks up to him and casually Judo tosses him to the ground. She grabs an armbar and torques back on it. Conor screams in pain. She lets go and walks away. DAN HOROWITZ Anyone else doubt Miss Van Dyke's qualifications? Everyone looks around uncomfortably. The Irishman stands up and gets back into his seat. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) Good. Conor rubs his arm. He grits his teeth in pain. MARCUS If this is a honky hometown then how are me and the L.T going to blend in?

DAN HOROWITZ You should be able to blend in with their servant class. MARCUS (to Steven) Some things never change, huh sir? Steven nods. DAN HOROWITZ Once you leave this facility you are on your own. Either come back with the President or don't come back at all. (beat) Are we clear? The Soldiers nod. RUSTY Crystal, sir. Horowitz waves his hand and the tablet turns back off. DAN HOROWITZ You have twelve hours to prepare for the plane ride over there. STEVEN We're parachuting over, sir? DAN HOROWITZ Yes. (beat) Any more questions? Silence. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) Good luck, gentlemen. Your country is depending on you.

INT. TCS PRIME MINISTER'S OFFICE - MOMENTS LATER Percy presses a button and members of the TURNER CABINET and a number of TURNER GENERALS appear on video on his television. PERCY MALPHUS Operation American Barbarossa is underway.

(CONTINUED) 32. CONTINUED:

A deep intensely evil smile comes over Percy's face. TCS GENERAL (VIDEO) What about their allies, Der Fuhrer? Certainly they'll object to this. PERCY MALPHUS They've given us assurances that squabbles on this continent only bother them when it affects their trade agreements. TCS GENERAL (VIDEO) Why don't we invade now, Der Fuhrer? PERCY MALPHUS It'll be a lot easier once we turn their weapons on them. TCS GENERAL (VIDEO) What about Horowitz? He can-- PERCY MALPHUS That little Jew prick can't get anything done until they have proof the President is out of commission per the Sanders Act. TCS GENERAL (VIDEO) They have a law for that? PERCY MALPHUS Welcome to being a student of history, General. It'll take them weeks to figure out our plan, and longer to do something about it. In twenty four hours we WILL have control of their nuclear arsenal. (deep breath) They've spent decades trying to rewrite history. It's time to show them they've angered a dragon that will burn them to the ground.

INT. SECRET FACILITY - ARMORY - NIGHT Lots of guns, ammunition and equipment are all over. An ARMORER watches it all. Rusty, Conor, Steven and Marcus are loading up large backpacks with gear. (CONTINUED) 33. CONTINUED:

Rusty examines a futuristic rifle. He takes the magazine out and looks at the bullets. RUSTY Amazing in two hundred years that we're still killing each other with the same weapons. Conor looks at the rifle. CONOR This isn't that much different than when I was in France. Steven has a small machine gun near him. His backpack is filled with explosives and C4. STEVEN Only difference between this and my M4 is better sights, I think. Marcus has a futuristic heavy machine gun in his hands that looks straight out of a video game. MARCUS This almost feels like overkill. STEVEN My better half was a heavy gunner when we did exercises at the Naval Academy. Our instructor said that overkill was underrated. CONOR Good on her for using that kind of gun. My wife couldn't carry the bullets that thing uses. STEVEN Thad and I were engaged before my last deployment. I hope he had a good life. Conor looks at him oddly. CONOR My priest would've had words with you. MARCUS Mine too. Rusty puts his hand on Steven's shoulder.

RUSTY What you do in your bedroom is none of our business. (takes hand off shoulder) Just make sure the business end of those explosives is in the right direction. Marcus and Conor look at him oddly. Steven smiles as Rusty takes his hand off Steven's shoulder. RUSTY (CONT’D) My brother was like him. His wife allowed him to have indiscretions. I always thought that meant the whores until I walked in on him and another man when we went fishing up north with some friends. (deep breath) He was in a tank division in North Africa. All the weird feelings I had turned into guilt when they told me he was gone. What I wouldn't do for one more conversation with him. Everyone looks around. Steven looks towards the Armorer. STEVEN Is there a computer lab around here? I... I need to know. The Armorer presses a button. A SECURITY ESCORT walks into the room. STEVEN (CONT’D) Get me to a computer. The Escort nods. CONOR You got any whiskey? The Escort looks at him oddly. CONOR (CONT’D) Just show me to a bar. Conor and Steven leave. Rusty looks at his empty ring finger. 35.

INT. RUSTY'S HOME - LIVING ROOM - AFTERNOON (FLASHBACK) The living room is straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting. Rusty lounges in a comfy recliner reading a newspaper. His wedding band is prominent. RUSTY'S WIFE (O.S.) Dinner! Rusty's two daughters run past him and into the kitchen. Rusty's wife walks into the living room. She's the same age as Rusty, beautiful and noticeably pregnant. RUSTY'S WIFE (CONT’D) Dinner, honey? Rusty puts the paper down and looks at his wife. This is happiness in its purest form.

INT. SECRET FACILITY - ARMORY - NIGHT Marcus and Rusty pack their bags in silence. RUSTY Where you from, Sergeant? MARCUS Chicago, sir. RUSTY Don't do the sir stuff with me. I'm Rusty and I grew up on Adams and Ashland. MARCUS You mean Kolodziejski and Adams. They renamed it in the fifties. Rusty takes a deep breath. MARCUS (CONT’D) A lot of things changed from your generation to mine. RUSTY Did they mess up a Chicago Hot Dog?

(CONTINUED) 36. CONTINUED:

MARCUS Was it yellow mustard, sweet green pickle relish, onion, tomato wedges, pickle spear, sport peppers, and a dash of celery salt on a proper Vienna Beef? RUSTY Good to see they didn't screw that up.

INT. SECRET FACILITY - BAR - MOMENTS LATER The room is empty as Conor walks up to the bar. He looks through a number of bottles and spots a bottle of proper Irish whiskey. He takes a big swig as a large BEARDED COLLIE runs into the room. It approaches him cautiously. Conor smiles as he squats down. CONOR Hey there little buddy. He extends his palm to the dog. The dog sniffs and then gives Conor a big kiss. CONOR (CONT’D) Who's a good boy? The dog barks affirmatively. Conor rubs the dog behind its ears. It moans affectively. An exasperated DOG OWNER sprints into the room. DOG OWNER There you are! CONOR Why is there a dog in here? DOG OWNER There's a lot of coyotes around here. The amazing thing is a Jackie Boy's bark keeps them away. CONOR That's the beautiful thing about a bearded collie.

(CONTINUED) 37. CONTINUED:

DOG OWNER You're the first person who hasn't called this a sheep dog. Conor rolls his sleeve up, showing off his tattoo. CONOR These are mine: Samson, Bailey and- DOG OWNER Lucy. (beat) We got Jackson from the Walsh farm two years ago, too. Conor pets the dog and takes a swig of whiskey. DOG OWNER (CONT’D) They breed the best beardies in the world. CONOR Make sure to use a leash next time. Conor leaves the room, taking a long swig of whiskey as he walks.

INT. SECRET FACILITY - STAFF ROOM - MOMENTS LATER An extraordinary amount of computer screens dominate a wall in a massive room. Live video feed of the train station, weather readouts and an amazing amount of information are all over the screens. A number of TECHNICIANS sit in front of workstations. Dan is in the back, surveying the screens. Anita walks in and looks around. She spots the video of the train station and looks at intently. ANITA VAN DYKE Since when do we have surveillance of the train station? DAN HOROWITZ A satellite over the Adirondack Mountains is aimed at it. ANITA VAN DYKE Doesn't that violate the armistice?

(CONTINUED) 38. CONTINUED:

DAN HOROWITZ Technically no. The spirit, maybe, but not the actual language of it. He turns to her. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) I have another mission for you. Horowitz looks in either direction before turning to Anita. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) (quietly) If this goes south then you're the only survivor. Are we clear? ANITA VAN DYKE Crystal.

INT. SECRET FACILITY - COMPUTER ROOM - AN HOUR LATER A handful of computers are set up throughout a small library. The Escort watches as Steven types on a computer. On Steven's screen we see pictures of his past, pictures of him and THAD (mid 20s, Steven's fiancee). We see news articles of Steven's death, referring to him as a hero. We see a video marked "KNTV Archival Video Footage: Chan Funeral." Steven presses play. Conor walks in, the bottle half empty, and spots Steven. He walks over and looks at the screen. We see Steven's funeral. THAD (O.S.) I'll see you on the other side, Steven. One way or another I'll see you again. Steven closes the browser. He takes a deep breath. STEVEN I'll let you-- CONOR I'm OK not knowing, sir. STEVEN That sort of feels cavalier. Conor takes a swig from the bottle.

(CONTINUED) 39. CONTINUED:

CONOR Can I be candid, sir? Steven grabs the bottle and takes a drink. He hands it back to Conor, who motions no. CONOR (CONT’D) I saw a lot of death in a lot of places. After a while you just pray to die in bed, surrounded by loved ones, instead of... how we died. STEVEN Technically we didn't. Steven turns the computer off. CONOR You die twice in this life. The moment your body dies and the moment the last person you knew is gone. The last person any of us knew is gone. If that's not a death I don't know what it is.

EXT. SKY - DAWN We're several miles from the Turner/US border. The Pacific Northwest hasn't changed in a long time; it's beautiful, green and heavily forested. Hundreds of miles to the North we see a bridge and several buildings marking the Demilitarized Zone between the two countries. A futuristic C-130 silently flies toward the border. A dim green light comes out of large, box-shaped engines on each wing.

INT. C-130 - CONTINUOUS Marcus, Conor, Anita, Rusty and Steven are all in parachute gear. A large red button is prominent on the right shoulder of the rigging. We see the outlines of smaller backpacks underneath the parachutes. All five soldiers are dressed in casual clothes with TCS logos all over them. All but Rusty have their weapons connected to their backpacks.

(CONTINUED) 40. CONTINUED:

Rusty has his rifle in his hands. He looks at it oddly. RUSTY How come there aren't any Buck Rogers style weapons now? Anita doesn't get the reference. STEVEN He means laser guns. ANITA VAN DYKE A laser rifle was used in combat experimentally in the Cuban conflict. It didn't work out well. CONOR So they stayed with bullets? ANITA VAN DYKE It's cheaper. MARCUS Like us, right? Anita whistles and the group looks at her. She points to a button on the parachute. ANITA VAN DYKE As soon as you exit the plane press this. It'll handle everything else.

INT. PRISON CELL - NIGHT President Cutler sits on a cot, looking at the ceiling, when we hear a knock on the door. Percy walks in with a large SECURITY GUARD in tow. Wayne sits up and looks at Percy. WAYNE CUTLER I haven't changed my mind. PERCY MALPHUS I came to ask you what you wanted for your final meal. WAYNE CUTLER I'll take a glass of fuck you.

(CONTINUED) 41. CONTINUED:

The Guard punches him in the face hard. Cutler falls onto the floor, his face bruising up immediately and a small cut emerging. PERCY MALPHUS Feeling clever now? WAYNE CUTLER Loads. Percy looks to the Guard and nods. The Turner Prime Minister leaves. The Guard kicks Cutler in the stomach hard. Cutler groans in pain.

INT. SENATOR JACKSON'S OFFICE - NIGHT Senator Jackson is behind his desk. A handful of ASSISTANTS surround him. CIA DIRECTOR LANCE COMEY (mid 40s) walks into the room. LANCE COMEY I need a moment with you, alone. Jackson nods. Everyone in the room leaves. STANLEY JACKSON Director Comey, how can I help you? The Director throws a file onto his desk. Comey opens the folder and points to a sheet of paper. The VP picks it up and look at it. LANCE COMEY There was a power surge at the Mojave research facility that took down a regional power grid. We think they-- STANLEY JACKSON (under his breath) Fucking Horowitz. (to Comedy) It's not them. It's us.

EXT. SKY - MINUTES LATER The C-130 approaches the border. The rear entrance opens and all five of the soldiers jump out. 42.

EXT. FOREST - MOMENTS LATER The forest is beautiful and seemingly hasn't been touched by man in a generation. The parachute gear is on the ground. Marcus, Conor, Steven and Anita circle around Rusty. Everyone has their weapons in their hands. RUSTY Who's got a map? Anita shakes her head and types on her bracelet. A hologram of a map, including directions to the train station, come up. ANITA VAN DYKE There's a satellite pegged to our position because of this. They know exactly where we are in case we get caught. After a moment the hologram changes to their location. It points them in a northern direction. She turns it off and points in the direction. ANITA VAN DYKE (CONT’D) There's a good lookout from the train station about five kilometers from here. RUSTY You've got point. They walk in that direction.

EXT. FOREST CLEARING - AN HOUR LATER A half dozen TURNER TRACKERS march two dozen Turner Slaves, bound and chained, through the distance. The Americans approach in the distance. Rusty spots the Trackers and everyone hits the deck behind a mound of dirt.

EXT. FOREST EDGE - CONTINUOUS Rusty motions to Conor, who crawls towards him. Conor hands Rusty his rifle. Rusty looks down scope. RUSTY What the hell is this?

(CONTINUED) 43. CONTINUED:

ANITA VAN DYKE The Turner Coalition has various jobs for their prisoners. Conor hands the rifle to Marcus. Marcus looks through it. MARCUS The word you're trying to say is slave. RUSTY We have to let them pass. STEVEN Sir, the right thing-- RUSTY This is a rescue mission.

EXT. FOREST CLEARING - CONTINUOUS We see a TURNER SLAVE (female, mid 50s) carrying a bag. She looks like she could be Marcus's mother. MARCUS (O.S.) And they need rescuing. She drops the bag. One of the Trackers walks up to her and hits her hard with his rifle.

INT. APARTMENT - NIGHT (FLASHBACK) Marcus's MOTHER is in a sixties style basement apartment. Her BOYFRIEND (mid 50s) is slapping her around. Marcus walks in and whoops his ass. ANITA VAN DYKE (O.S.) We don't have time for-- BANG! EXT. FOREST CLEARING - continuous The Tracker falls dead, a bullet through his head. The others look around. One fires his rifle all around, panicked. BANG! Another Tracker falls dead. 44.

EXT. FOREST EDGE - CONTINUOUS Rusty grabs the rifle from him. RUSTY WHAT THE SHIT, SERGEANT? Marcus grabs it back. They struggle over it. MARCUS It ain't right, sir. RATATATAT! Turner fire rattles a tree nearby. Marcus and Rusty let go of the rifle. STEVEN We got company! Conor pulls a pistol out and cocks it. CONOR I thought this was going to be a long, boring walk to a train. He raises up and opens fire. EXT. FOREST CLEARING - CONTINUOUS Conor screams like a madman as he pulls the trigger. Two Turner Trackers fall to the ground, dead. CLICK! Conor reaches for a magazine. A Turner Tracker has a bead on him. BANG! Steven passes Conor, rifle aimed at the dead tracker. One Turner Tracker is left. Marcus, Rusty and Anita emerge, guns up. The Tracker turns and runs. STEVEN Do we try to capture him or--

(CONTINUED) 45. CONTINUED:

Conor empties his pistol into the running Turner Tracker. The man falls to the ground, dead. MARCUS Not. Marcus sprints up and helps the fallen Turner Slave to her feet gingerly. MARCUS (CONT’D) Are you OK? She nods and squeezes his hands. Conor grabs the Turner weapons and hands them to the Slaves. Steven grabs a keypad off the ground. He presses "all unlock" and the chains fall to the ground. RUSTY (to Anita) Where's the border? She points behind them. ANITA VAN DYKE It's about three miles from here. Conor and Steven grab weapons from the dead trackers. They hand them to the Slaves. RUSTY (to the Slaves) We'll give you a head start. The Slaves run in the direction Anita pointed in. Rusty glares at Marcus. RUSTY (CONT’D) Sergeant. MARCUS Yeah, yeah. RUSTY Don't yeah yeah me, boy. Marcus's face turns into pure, unadulterated rage. MARCUS Who you calling boy? Steven steps between them. (CONTINUED) 46. CONTINUED: (2)

STEVEN We've got a mission. Marcus mockingly salutes him. MARCUS Yes sir. Marcus, Conor and Anita walk away. Rusty puts his hand on Steven's shoulder. RUSTY Don't do that again, L.T. STEVEN Excuse me, sir? RUSTY Don't step on my authority. STEVEN Sir, I-- RUSTY I'm in charge. STEVEN Yes, sir.

INT. SENATOR JACKSON'S OFFICE - MOMENTS LATER Jackson is alone in his office. He pulls up a video phone and dials Horowitz. STANLEY JACKSON A transport plane under national security status was apparently flown near the border. A power surge took down a power grid. DAN HOROWITZ (VIDEO) We've got credible intel they have the President. I acted on it. STANLEY JACKSON This is in impeachable defense. I need to be debriefed about this so- DAN HOROWITZ (VIDEO) With all due respect, you'll need plausible deniability if this goes sideways.

STANLEY JACKSON I'm going to-- DAN HOROWITZ (VIDEO) If you bring this to Congress I'm going to release a statement that you told me it was ok to do it. Jackson snarls at the Vice President.

EXT. FOREST - AN HOUR LATER The soldiers march as Anita's bracelet turns off. She smacks it a couple times. Rusty holds his hand up and everyone stops. RUSTY Everything OK, Miss Van Dyke? ANITA VAN DYKE My GPS is down. Let me-- After a moment we hear a click. STEVEN EVERYONE STOP! Marcus looks down. His eyes open wide as he sees a blinking red dot. Steven looks over and drops his backpack. STEVEN (CONT’D) Don't make one more step, Sergeant, or we're all dead. Rusty looks over and sees a sign that says "End of Minefield." CONOR Who thought it'd be a good idea to be this close to a-- ANITA VAN DYKE I thought we had cleared it. Conor looks down and sees some rocks. He throws a pair past Marcus. We hear them hit the ground. CONOR Somebody probably just messed the sign up. He throws another deep into the woods.

BOOM! A mine goes off far away. Conor cringes. RUSTY (to Conor) Don't do that again. STEVEN (to Conor) Sergeant, I'm assuming you have a knife. Conor takes out a large hunting knife from his backpack and hands it to Steven. Steven walks over to Marcus. ANITA VAN DYKE (to Rusty) We could all die if that thing goes off. One man isn't worth-- STEVEN I got this. Steven kneels down and digs underneath the mine with the knife. He looks at it and smiles. STEVEN (CONT’D) Everyone but Marcus take three steps away from us. Everyone moves away. MARCUS What is going on? STEVEN This is a new version of a Bouncing Betty. Marcus looks around and then to Steven. Marcus is frightened. Steven nods to him. STEVEN (CONT’D) Normally it's four seconds and boom! This is modified with a pressure counter so that it goes off AFTER you take your foot off. Steven looks around and sees a stick. He whittles part of it down.

MARCUS How do you know all this shit? STEVEN I studied my ass off in the Academy. Poor kids have to do that. Steven looks at the mine and grabs the whittled stick firmly. STEVEN (CONT’D) The technology of a land mine is based on pressure. Steven takes a deep breath. STEVEN (CONT’D) The old Bouncing Betty had a place where you could-- He quickly thrusts the stick into an exposed part of the mine. STEVEN (CONT’D) Put something in and it'll stop the timer. (beat) I'm going to back up if you don't mind. Steven stands up and backs up slowly. He motions for Marcus to step. MARCUS You sure? Steven takes another step back. Conor does the signs of the cross. Marcus steps forward. Nothing. Rusty looks around. RUSTY Be aware of your surroundings, gentlemen. (to Steven) Good work, lieutenant. Anita adjusts something on her wrist. A map comes up indicating the direction of the train station. Rusty, Anita and Steven walk in that direction. Conor walks up to Marcus. MARCUS I'm OK. (CONTINUED) 50. CONTINUED: (3)

CONOR Was it weird when-- MARCUS He didn't hesitate to save my life. CONOR He had my back a couple hours ago. MARCUS For all the bullshit my priest said, maybe they were wrong. CONOR Maybe.

EXT. TRAIN STATION - MOMENTS LATER A large crowd watches the train arrive. A handful of DIGNITARIES and POLITICIANS are escorted onto the train.

EXT. EDGE OF FOREST - MOMENTS LATER The forest opens to an obstructed view of a train station. The station is decorated in Nazi regalia and Turner flags about a quarter mile away. A large building in the forest overlooks it.

EXT. FOREST - CONTINUOUS A hill overlooks the edge of the forest. The Americans walk up. RUSTY (to Conor) Get on the roof and get me a view of what we're going into. I'll join you. (to Steven) Take Sergeant Jackson and see if there's anyone in the rest of the building. (to Anita) Walk the perimeter and see if you can spot any roving patrols. 51.

INT. BUILDING BY FOREST - ROOF - MOMENTS LATER The roof is empty. We can see the train station in the distance. Conor and Rusty walk onto the roof. Conor grabs his rifle and looks through the scope at the station. Rusty walks over and Conor hands him the rifle. The pilot looks through the scope.

EXT. TRAIN STATION - CONTINUOUS The train station is surrounded by a number of older, decrepit looking buildings. Several hundred CIVILIANS mill about as WORKERS, SOLDIERS and OFFICIALS surround an impressive looking train. All of them are white. RUSTY (O.S.) We need to set up a distraction. CONOR (O.S.) I can peg someone from here. In the chaos-- RUSTY (O.S.) You won't be able to board with us.

INT. BUILDING BY FOREST - ROOF - CONTINUOUS Rusty turns his attention to Conor. RUSTY It has to be nearby or else someone is staying behind. Marcus and Steven walk onto the roof. MARCUS Nothing here. Rusty hands the rifle to Steven and points toward the train station. Steven looks through the scope. RUSTY You see what I see? STEVEN It's very white. (CONTINUED) 52. CONTINUED:

RUSTY (to Steven) You think you can rig one of those buildings? STEVEN Are we talking big explosion or-- RUSTY Enough to startle the crowd. We need a distraction so we can board without incident. STEVEN I could do that. ANITA VAN DYKE (O.S.) I need someone down here. Rusty looks over the edge. Anita walks behind two TURNER SCOUTS. They have their hands up.

EXT. BUILDING BY FOREST - MOMENTS LATER All four soldiers exit the building. Rusty and Marcus aim their weapons at the Turner Scouts. Steven and Conor take their gear away. The Scouts look at the Americans and shake their heads. TURNER SCOUT #1 This is embarrassing. TURNER SCOUT #2 It'd be one thing if it was just her but-- Marcus points his rifle at them. MARCUS You're going to want to watch your words, gentlemen. TURNER SCOUT #2 (to Rusty) After the Seattle Zoo Massacre we learned not to give an ape a rifle. The Turner Scouts laugh obnoxiously.

(CONTINUED) 53. CONTINUED:

RUSTY Sergeant-- Marcus walks up to the second Turner Scout and hits him in the face with the rifle. The Scout goes down, blood pouring out of his face. MARCUS Got any other jokes, genius? Rusty whistles and Marcus moves away. The Scout stands up and sneers at him. Marcus kicks him in the nuts hard. The Scout squeals in pain as he falls to the ground. RUSTY Sergeant! MARCUS (to Rusty) I'm not sure how current this phrase is but if you play stupid games, you'll win stupid prizes. Rusty shakes his head. Conor bends down and looks the second Scout in the eyes. CONOR Want to play again? The Scout shakes his head no. Marcus aims the rifle at the first Scout. MARCUS How about you? The first Scout shakes his head no. Conor walks away as the second Scout slowly gets to his feet. STEVEN (to Rusty) Sir, We can't let them go or risk blowing the operation. RUSTY We've got a couple hours before someone will going to notice they're missing. ANITA VAN DYKE This is a problem. Marcus aims his rifle at them and smiles. (CONTINUED) 54. CONTINUED: (2)

MARCUS I got a problem solver right here. RUSTY We got lucky a patrol didn't hear us once. MARCUS I'm willing to take that chance. RUSTY (to Marcus) Better safe than sorry. (to Steven) Bind and gag them. ANITA VAN DYKE (Rusty) I'll handle this. Anita takes the Turner Scouts and walks them into the building. Rusty turns to Marcus. RUSTY I am in charge, Sergeant Jackson. MARCUS You saw the way they looked at us. RUSTY The more dead bodies we leave the quicker we get caught. I'll leave yours here with them if you keep me from seeing my family again. Marcus and Rusty eyeball each other. Steven steps in between them. STEVEN We need to get on that train. We hear a train's horn blow in the distance. RUSTY We'll settle this later, sergeant. MARCUS Absolutely.

EXT. TRAIN STATION - AN HOUR LATER Anita, Conor and Rusty make their way to the train.

BARK! BARK! A small DOG wags it's tail at Conor. Conor looks down and pets the dog. The OWNER pulls hard on the dog's leash. TURNER DOG OWNER I'm sorry.. you know how dogs are. CONOR Yeah... we had--

EXT. WALSH FARM - AFTERNOON (FLASHBACK) A large sheep herding farm in rural Ohio. A herd of sheep is being moved around by three Bearded Collies (Samson, Lucy and Bailey). Conor walks up to Samson and rubs his head. Samson looks up at him and smiles. MATCH CUT TO:

EXT. TRAIN STATION - CONTINUOUS The small dog looks up at Conor and smiles. Conor looks around. CONOR Nuts. He makes his way through the crowd, frantically looking for Anita and Rusty. Anita and Rusty blend in perfectly. They walk toward the train when a TURNER SECURITY AGENT approaches them. TURNER SECURITY AGENT Papers. RUSTY Excuse me? The Security Agent looks at the three of them. TURNER SECURITY AGENT How did you get those weapons into this zone? They should've taken them from you at the checkpoint. (CONTINUED) 56. CONTINUED:

He blows a whistle and a number of TURNER SOLDIERS approach them. Anita taps Rusty on the ear and whispers into his ear. ANITA VAN DYKE (whisper) We're going to have to fight our way out. Conor sprints through the crowd towards Anita and Rusty. RUSTY (whisper) I can talk our way out of this. The Soldiers get closer. RUSTY (CONT’D) I think I left them in my other pants. TURNER SECURITY AGENT We'll need to-- Conor drops the Security Agent with a bomb of a right hook. He's out. RUSTY What the-- One of the buildings explodes in the background. The crowd is spooked. People run around in all directions. Fear and panic is in abundance. The Soldiers fight through the crowd to get to them. A Turner Soldier aims his rifle at Rusty. Anita quickly disarms him. Another gets behind her. Conor grabs him and drops him with a pair of left hooks. More soldiers approach, their rifles aimed at the three. TURNER SOLDIER LEADER FREEZE! Rusty, Conor and Anita raise their hands. The soldiers push through the crowd holding handcuffs. We hear Marcus's heavy machine gun throw some lead downrange, killing the soldiers and a handful of civilians. (CONTINUED) 57. CONTINUED: (2)

Marcus and Steven sprint over to them. RUSTY Good timing. MARCUS This idiot had to make sure it's right. STEVEN You don't screw around with C4! ANITA VAN DYKE We can yell at each other or we can get on the train. Another bomb explodes, ripping the roof off another building. They sprint to the train.

EXT. TRAIN - CONTINUOUS A small camera is aimed towards the rear. It's marked "Facial Cam4" and has a green light towards the back. A five digit keypad is flashing, a red "Emergency open" is on the input screen. All five soldiers get on the train. The camera discreetly scans them as they board. The light changes to red for everyone but Anita.

INT. TRAIN - CARRIAGE - MOMENTS LATER The train's interior is a near exact replica of Hitler's train, the Fuhrersonderzug. We're in a car near the end of the train. A handful of closets are open and empty. The five are inside. Marcus is next to the rear door, Conor by the front door. RUSTY I remember seeing a newsreel about Hitler's train. This looks exactly like it.

(CONTINUED) 58. CONTINUED:

ANITA VAN DYKE The first Turner Coalition Prime Minister commissioned an exact replica to mark the establishment of the Wolf's Lair. They all look at her oddly. ANITA VAN DYKE (CONT’D) History of the Coalition was compulsory. STEVEN How long are we going to be on this? ANITA VAN DYKE Probably two to three hours if intelligence is accurate. RUSTY We need to hide for that long. (to Marcus) I saw some dead civilians out there. Marcus points to his machine gun. MARCUS You think I can squeeze five perfect shots into that tight of a grouping? There's a reason why it's called collateral damage. RUSTY I didn't want a body count. MARCUS What you want and what you're getting are two very different things. CONOR Would you have rather it been one of us, sir? RUSTY Excuse me? CONOR I remember retreating in the trenches and seeing the bodies of the men we left behind. Are you OK with me... or the Staff Sergeant... (MORE) (CONTINUED) 59. CONTINUED: (2) CONOR (CONT’D) or the lieutenant... being there instead of them? RUSTY I didn't mean that. MARCUS Did every bomb you drop hit nothing but military targets? Rusty looks around. RUSTY We have a mission to complete. Anita places her gear into one of the closets. ANITA VAN DYKE We have to blend in. MARCUS What if we get caught? It could be helpful to be armed. ANITA VAN DYKE No one is armed here besides security. RUSTY We'll get it before we leave. She's got the right idea. They stash their weapons and gear.

EXT. TRAIN STATION - MOMENTS LATER The train takes off and out of view.

INT. PRISON CELL - MOMENTS LATER President Cutler lays on the bed. His face is bruised and battered, blood spatter on the floor and on his clothes. We hear a knock on the door. The door opens and a GUARD walks in with a fancy garment bag. He throws it down on the ground. GUARD The Prime Minister has requested you change into something more appropriate for tonight's festivities. 60.

INT. TRAIN - SECURITY STATION - MOMENTS LATER Monitors showcasing various parts of the train are everywhere. A handful of TURNER SECURITY MONITORS watch them diligently. One of the screens showcasing the rear of the train turns red. A Security Monitor types. On the screen No match" pops up: pictures of Rusty, Conor, Marcus and Steven with profiles follow it. The Security Monitor waves over to a SUPERVISOR. He walks over and they look at it. SECURITY MONITOR I've never seen this before, sir. SUPERVISOR The system's been on the fritz for a while now. SECURITY MONITOR What do we do, sir? SUPERVISOR Send an unarmed patrol to confirm at a secondary station. SECURITY MONITOR Shouldn't we-- SUPERVISOR They're probably some yokels who got on during the attack. Let's not turn this into an incident.

INT. TRAIN - BAR CAR - TEN MINUTES LATER Wood paneling is on all of the walls. Nazi memorabilia and a handful of oil portraits of Turner State luminaries are all over the room. The bar is well stocked with a BARTENDER serving cocktails. A large, opened bottle of Irish Whiskey is on the bar. Marcus, Anita, Steven, Conor and Rusty walk in and look around. Conor smiles.

(CONTINUED) 61. CONTINUED:

CONOR At least there's one good thing on this train. RUSTY (quietly) Just keep walking and-- Three TURNER SOLDIERS and their SQUAD LEADER walk into the room. One is armed with a pistol at his side. SQUAD LEADER Excuse me... the facial tech is saying something it shouldn't. TURNER SOLDIER #1 Please come with us to the secondary scanner. The soldiers approach the Americans slowly. MARCUS It's probably because I'm so pretty. The Squad Leader walks up directly to Rusty. He looks him over. RUSTY Is it really necessary? We're free inhabitants and-- SQUAD LEADER Yes. The Turner Soldier closest to Conor slowly reaches for his pistol. ANITA VAN DYKE We all got on because of the attack. I'm sure we can solve this without the paperwork. Conor sees the soldier's hand and angles his body to him. SQUAD LEADER Let's go to the scanner and sort this out, then. We'll just need your registry number. CONOR Registry number? The Soldier pulls the gun out and Conor pushes it away. (CONTINUED) 62. CONTINUED: (2)

BANG! A bullet whizzes by Steven's head and lands into the wall. BANG! A bullet hits a mirror. Shards crash onto the floor. Anita locks the rear door and stays near it. The Bartender ducks down underneath the bar and opens up a large lockbox. Rusty tackles the Squad Leader to the ground as Marcus and Steven charge two of the soldiers. Rusty throws haymakers onto the Squad leader. The Squad Leader bucks him off and tackles him to the ground. Conor grabs the soldier near him into a Muay Thai clinch and brutally knees him in the face multiple times. The soldier's body crashes to the floor, a handful of his teeth hitting just before he does. Marcus throws wild punches as the Turner Soldier mops the floor with him. This is skilled professional against sloppy amateur. Steven is thrown over the bar and onto the floor behind it. The Bartender grabs a shotgun from the lock box. Steven grabs a hold of it and pushes it away from the two. BANG! Shotgun shot flies through and hits Marcus in the calf. He goes down to the ground. Conor grabs that soldier and elbows him in the face viciously. He's down on the floor, out like a light. The Squad Leader looks Rusty right in the eyes as he chokes him with his bare hands. Rusty tries to break his grip but he can't. He begins to pass out. BHAM! Conor's knee connects right to the Squad Leader's face. BANG! The shotgun goes off again as the Irish Whiskey bottle shatters. The Bartender and Steven stand up, still struggling over the shotgun. The Bartender puts the barrel underneath Steven's chin. (CONTINUED) 63. CONTINUED: (3)

CLICK! THUMP! He gurgles, his mouth full of blood, before hitting the floor dead. Conor's hand tightly holds a shard of glass in the bartender's throat. Blood pools and gets all over Steven's shoes. Rusty stands up and looks around. RUSTY Everyone OK? Marcus looks down and sees blood coming out of his calf. MARCUS I'll survive. Steven grabs a bottle of vodka and some bar rags. STEVEN Sir, I believe someone probably heard that. MARCUS Let's get the fuck out of here! RUSTY Absolutely.

INT. TRAIN - SECURITY STATION - MOMENTS LATER The Security Monitors have the Bar up on their screens. They stare at the carnage. SECURITY MONITOR Do we call the Wolf's Lair or-- A door opens. Everyone turns to it. Everyone in the room gulps loudly as Walter walks in. He points to one of the Monitors. WALTER Rewind it. The Monitor next to him rewinds it. We see all five Americans on the screen.

(CONTINUED) 64. CONTINUED:

WALTER (CONT’D) I will handle this myself. Send security team three to meet me at the sleeper cars. SECURITY MONITOR You think they'll-- Walter stares at him. WALTER They'll be looking to hide. That's the best spot.

INT. TRAIN - SLEEPER CAR - MOMENTS LATER A thin hallway with a door on either wall. A sign says "Sleeper Car: be quiet" on both entrances. Rusty walks up to one of the doors and opens it. He looks inside and smiles. Rusty motions to Marcus. Marcus opens the other door and looks inside. He gives Rusty a thumbs up. Steven wipes his shoes on the floor. CONOR (quietly) Do we all go into one or-- RUSTY (quietly) Her and I in there. You three in the other. Anita and Rusty go into one room. Marcus, Conor and Steven into the other.

INT. TCS PRIME MINISTER'S OFFICE - 20 MINUTES LATER Percy is behind his desk, typing on his laptop. A GUARD walks into the room carrying a folder. PERCY MALPHUS Where's the train? GUARD It's ninety minutes away. (hands him folder) (MORE) (CONTINUED) 65. CONTINUED: GUARD (CONT’D) We've had a number of incidents, Der Fuhrer, that require your attention.

INT. TRAIN - SECOND ROOM IN SLEEPER CAR - MOMENTS LATER Marcus's pants are rolled up as he sits on the bed. Blood stains the sheets. Conor is near the door. Steven has the rags and the bottle in his hand. STEVEN How do we-- CONOR You don't remember field medicine? STEVEN Not as well as you do, I think. Conor shakes his head. He takes the bottle and one of the rags out of Steven's hands. Conor walks up to Marcus. CONOR This is going to hurt. A lot. MARCUS I can take it. Conor places one of the rags in Marcus's mouth. Steven walks up to the door as Conor pours the alcohol onto the wound. Muffled screams of pain come out of Marcus's mouth. He looks to be in agony. Steven hands him another rag. Conor wraps it around the wound. STEVEN That won't hold. Marcus takes the rag out of his mouth. MARCUS It'll do for now. Conor hands Marcus the bottle. He takes a long swig. CONOR Didn't your dad teach you how to throw a punch?

(CONTINUED) 66. CONTINUED:

MARCUS It wasn't quite the three piece with the-- STEVEN Soda. Marcus and Steven chuckle. Conor looks at them oddly. STEVEN (CONT’D) If you had enough money a three piece, the soda and a biscuit made a meal fit for a king. MARCUS I took a job at nineteen at Chucky's Chicken Shack to help my mom. She met her boyfriend there. It's how I went to jail. STEVEN You robbed him? MARCUS He thought he could put hands on her. I thought otherwise. STEVEN I don't see the issue. MARCUS He was a cop. Judge didn't think too kindly of a young black kid tuning up one of Chicago's finest.

INT. TRAIN - FIRST ROOM IN SLEEPER CAR - MOMENTS LATER Anita relaxes on the bed as Rusty leans against the wall closest to the door. RUSTY So you came to America as a kid? She sits up and looks at him angrily. RUSTY (CONT’D) I hate silence. ANITA VAN DYKE My mom and I crossed the border when I was young. The America I saw was different than in the books.

RUSTY My oldest brother said that when he came here. ANITA VAN DYKE You weren't born here? RUSTY My dad took a steamship to America from Poland when my brothers were kids. I was born nine months to the day my mother came to this country. They both laugh. RUSTY (CONT’D) How'd you get the robot parts? There has to be a badass story besides "I jumped on a grenade." ANITA VAN DYKE It's long and uneventful. RUSTY We've got time.

INT. SECRET FACILITY CONFERENCE ROOM - MOMENTS LATER Casper has a hologram up of the time machine on a tablet computer. His Lab Assistant walks in with a handful of folders in his hands. CASPER STANTON I'm running a diagnostic but none of these numbers make sense. LAB TECHNICIAN That's because the CPU has been damaged catastrophically in the machine. The power unit is down permanently and I don't think it's fixable. There are about one hundred other things that are damaged as well. CASPER STANTON Is there anything that isn't damaged?

(CONTINUED) 68. CONTINUED:

LAB TECHNICIAN Me and you. Three of the techs are wounded, two are dead. The technician hands Casper the folders. CASPER STANTON None of the simulations predicted this sort of failure. Casper looks through the folders. He sees a handful of photos indicating man made failures.

INT. TCS PRIME MINISTER'S OFFICE - MOMENTS LATER Malphus reads the folder. His grip on it becomes tighter and tighter, his face turning various shades of red along the way. A second Guard walks into the room. PERCY MALPHUS WHAT? GUARD #2 One of the patrols outside of the train station was captured and left tied up inside, Der Fuhrer. PERCY MALPHUS Who did it? GUARD #2 They claimed it was a group of minorities. One of them said to tell you "Eindringen" before they tied them up, Der Fuhrer.

INT. TRAIN - SLEEPER CAR - TEN MINUTES LATER Dried blood from Steven's boots are on the ground. Four TRAIN SECURITY SPECIALISTS walk into the car with machine guns. They look around and then walk through. Walter walks in and looks around. He looks down and spots the blood. COUGH! Everyone turns to Walter. He points to the blood. The Security Specialists nod. (CONTINUED) 69. CONTINUED:

Walter and two of the Specialists go to Rusty and Anita's room. The other two go to Marcus and Steven's room.

INT. TRAIN - FIRST ROOM IN SLEEPER CAR - CONTINUOUS Rusty walks over to the window and looks outside. RUSTY I always wanted to see the country by train. I never thought it'd be like this. One of the Train Security Specialists storms into the room. Rusty tackles him to the ground and punches him in the face. Another runs in and tackles Rusty to the ground. Rusty tosses the Security Specialist off and spots a rifle. He grabs for it when a large foot hits him in the face at blindingly fast speed. The pilot flies into the wall and hits it with a loud thud. He turns and sees Walter walk into the room. RUSTY (CONT’D) Shit. Walter grabs Rusty by the throat and presses him against the wall. Rusty tries to fight his way out but can't. Walter applies more and more pressure as both Train Security Specialists get to their feet. Rusty's face turns different colors. The Specialists point their weapons at Anita. She puts her hands up and looks at Walter. ANITA VAN DYKE Eindringen. Walter releases his hands and Rusty's body hits the ground with a thud. He turns to Anita and nods. Both specialists aim their rifles at Rusty. Rusty stares at Anita angrily. ANITA VAN DYKE (CONT’D) That's my code word if I ever get caught. It's like a get out of jail card, straight from Der Fuhrer. For me he's still dad but, you know. Anita takes her bracelet off and SMASHES it under her boot. (CONTINUED) 70. CONTINUED:

ANITA VAN DYKE (CONT’D) They caught all of us before the tracking satellite could figure out where the trail ends. Oops.

INT. TRAIN - SLEEPER CAR - MOMENTS LATER Conor, Marcus and Steven have their hands up, Security Specialists aiming their weapons at them. Conor kicks one of the Specialists in the groin. The Specialist goes down hard as Conor shoves the other two into each other. The Irishman sprints away. Marcus and Steven attack the Specialists as Rusty exits his room. RUSTY Stop it, now! Marcus and Steven turn and see Rusty with his hands up. Several specialists are behind him, guns pointed at them. STEVEN Where's-- Walter and Anita exit the room with the guards. TURNER SPECIALIST One of them escaped. WALTER FIND HIM! One of the Specialists sprints in the same direction as Conor. RUSTY Guess who sold us out? Anita turns to Rusty. ANITA VAN DYKE Sold out? I never bought in. Anita walks up to Rusty and slaps him across the face. ANITA VAN DYKE (CONT’D) My father sent me here as a long term covert asset. I--

STEVEN You going to twirl your mustache while you're at it? Steven spits on the ground. Marcus laughs loudly. The others join in. MARCUS I didn't think you had it in you, mister professional soldier. She glares at Marcus. ANITA VAN DYKE Laugh all you want, ape. I can't wait to watch you die. MARCUS Why not do it sooner? ANITA VAN DYKE I tried but you guys kept finding a way to get further and further. So when I saw Walter... I thought why not here, why not now. She approaches Rusty and puts her hand on his chest seductively. ANITA VAN DYKE (CONT’D) You're smarter than those two. Steven and Marcus look at Anita angrily. ANITA VAN DYKE (CONT’D) You could do so much for the Turner States. She leans in closer to his face, licking her lips. ANITA VAN DYKE (CONT’D) Here... here you'll be a true hero. Rusty leans in... and then headbutts her. She falls to the ground, blood running out of her nose. RUSTY I appreciate the sentiment but I'm a married man. Walter throws a bomb of a right hand that explodes on Rusty's chin. He lands on the ground hard. Walter looks at the Security Specialists. (CONTINUED) 72. CONTINUED: (2)

INT. TRAIN - BRIG - MOMENTS LATER Two guards stand at attention in front of a half dozen jail cells. Marcus, Steven and Rusty are escorted into the room by Guards. Walter follows them soon after. He puts his hand on a scanner and the doors open. The American soldiers are put inside. The doors slam shut after a moment. Anita walks in, freshly changed into a Turner State uniform. A tablet computer is in her hands. She looks to the guards and nods. They leave. ANITA VAN DYKE My father wants to talk to you. She presses a button and a video image of Percy pops up on the tablet. She points it at them. Percy looks them over. PERCY MALPHUS (VIDEO) I'm disappointed with your choice in friends, Anita. I do have to admit, though, that killing a Negro is something that always does something MAGICAL for me. MARCUS Then do it yourself instead of sending your little bitch monkeys to do it for you. PERCY MALPHUS (VIDEO) I like your enthusiasm but alas. You'll be the warm up act before we execute your sad little President. Percy hangs up. Anita glares at them. Walter puts his hand on her shoulder. She nods and leaves. He glares at them. WALTER He said alive... but not unharmed. (CONTINUED) 73. CONTINUED:

Rusty walks to the front of the jail cell and looks Walter right in the eyes. RUSTY You hit like a woman. WALTER Excuse me? Walter walks up and stares Rusty dead in the eyes. RUSTY You heard me. Marcus goes to Rusty but Steven stops him. He points his head and Marcus looks in that direction. Both smile. WALTER You know how easily I could kill you right now? RUSTY You're a poodle on a leash. Walter takes out a pistol. He glares at rusty with pure rage in his eyes. RUSTY (CONT’D) Woof woof mother-- THUD! Walter falls down to the ground, unconscious. Conor is revealed behind him, an expensive bottle of Irish whiskey in his hands and a big smile on his lips. CONOR For such a big man he fell like a little girl. Conor mocks Walter falling down. RUSTY If you wouldn't mind. Conor tries to open the door but can't. STEVEN Place his hand on the pad. The Irishman grabs Walter's hand and places it on the pad. After a scan the doors open.

Marcus, Rusty and Steven walk out of it. CONOR We need to get the fuck off this train. STEVEN Not while it's moving. Walter's body stirs. RUSTY He's not going to be out forever. Walter's eyes open. He looks around. CONOR I put everything I had into it. He- Walter springs up and grabs Conor by the throat with one hand. He swipes at the other three with the other, knocking Rusty and Marcus away. Walter spots Steven and kicks him in the chest, sending him flying into a wall. CONOR (CONT’D) Apparently you can take a shot. Walter slams Conor into the wall. His grip tightens as Conor tries to fight his way out but can't. WALTER I'm going to enjoy this. Rusty gets up and jumps on Walter's back. Walter lets go and grabs Rusty, casually throwing him away. Marcus stands up and charges. He eats a front kick for his efforts. Walter turns and Conor hits him in the face. Nothing. Walter grabs him by the throat and presses him back against the wall. Steven grabs the whiskey bottle and smashes it against the back of Walter's head. The bottle disintegrates into shards as Walter lets go. Conor hits the ground with a thud. Walter turns and hits Steven with a monster of a left hand. Steven hits the ground. The Turner bad ass touches the back of his head and looks at his hand. Blood. Lots and lots of blood. He looks up and sees Marcus's fist coming right at his face. (CONTINUED) 75. CONTINUED: (3)

BAM! Walter staggers back and Rusty jumps on his back, putting him in a choke hold. Conor walks up and kicks Walter right in the nuts, putting the giant down to his knees. Walter's hands flail as Steven grabs one of his arms. He motions for Conor to grab the other. Conor locks onto his arm. Walter falls onto his stomach and passes out. Rusty releases the choke. All four men grab his body and throw it into the cell. They exit and the door slams shut behind them. Conor puts his hand on Steven's shoulder. They look at each other and Steven nods. RUSTY Look at what we can do when we work together. Conor reaches down and picks up Walter's pistol. STEVEN What's the plan, Captain? RUSTY We find the President and we get out, same as before. MARCUS If we can get to the rear-- CONOR They've got an army. (takes magazine out of pistol and looks at it.) We've got eight rounds. The train's whistle blows. STEVEN Where to, sir? RUSTY I've got an idea.

EXT. ROOF OF TRAIN - MOMENTS LATER Conor, Marcus, Steven and Rusty hang onto the roof. (CONTINUED) 76. CONTINUED:

RUSTY Once the train stops we sprint across the top. CONOR What do we do from there? RUSTY Get some guns and save the day.

EXT. WOLF'S LAIR - 30 MINUTES LATER We see a sign indicating where to go to the Prime Minister's Office, the Propaganda Office and a small office building labeled "Auschwitz House of Fun and Mirrors." The Auschwitz building has barbed wire on it's roof and steel bars welded onto over the windows. A Jeep with dual M2 Browning heavy machine guns is parked near the Auschwitz building. The train pulls into the station. Soldiers, Officials and more empty from it. Marcus, Rusty, Conor and Steven sprint across the roof of the train and onto the ground. Marcus runs to the final car and grabs the door handle. It won't open. He looks down and sees a keypad. A screen indicates a five digit code. MARCUS Anyone know the code? STEVEN There's up to one hundred thousand potential combinations. Rusty looks at the Wolf's Lair and spots the hangar. RUSTY Steven and I will get a plane. Marcus, you and Conor will find the President and meet us there. MARCUS We shouldn't split up.

(CONTINUED) 77. CONTINUED:

RUSTY It'll be faster if I can get the plane started while you get the President out. CONOR Just make sure not to take off without us, sir. RUSTY I'll get you guys home if it's the last thing I do, sergeant.

INT. PRODUCTION STUDIO - MOMENTS LATER A large traditional television studio. Inside a soundproof booth we see a small desk with two PROPAGANDA READERS in it. A number of cameras in front of them. They're currently reading today's propaganda on state television. A sound stage has a handful of EXECUTIONERS with a banner that reads "The Glory of Reunification" on a nearby wall. Percy walks into the room with a large entourage of Guards, Cabinet Officials, the Technician and Soldiers. He walks to the Sound Stage and looks around. The Nuclear Football is on a stand. A large device is connected to it. PERCY MALPHUS How close are the tech guys to cracking this? TECHNICIAN America's nuclear arsenal will be ours within the hour. PERCY MALPHUS I can launch the missiles right before we kill him. (looks around) Where are they? Anita sprints into the room. ANITA VAN DYKE They got away, Der Fuhrer. PERCY MALPHUS Where's Walter? (CONTINUED) 78. CONTINUED:

Walter walks in. His face is all bandaged up. Percy walks up to him and grabs him by the collar and stares him in the eyes. PERCY MALPHUS (CONT’D) Find them and bring them here. WALTER Yes, Der Fuhrer. She sprints away. Percy points to one of the guards. PERCY MALPHUS Make sure the American President is secured and bring him here NOW.

INT. HANGAR - MOMENTS LATER A number of German planes from World War 2 are all over the Hangar. We see several German fighters, a large transport and several bombers. Steven and Rusty sprint into the silent hangar. Rusty's eyes dart around the hangar until it lands on an AGO Ao 192. This is TURNER ONE, the Prime Minister's airplane. RUSTY We'll get home in this plane. Rusty sprints to the plane and walks around it. STEVEN It has zero guns. RUSTY The fighters won't have the space we need and everything bigger will take too long to get out of here. STEVEN What do you need me to do? Rusty opens the passenger door and turns to Steven. RUSTY Cover the door in case we get company. STEVEN With what?

(CONTINUED) 79. CONTINUED:

RUSTY There has to be something around here you can use. Steven takes a hand grenade out of his pocket and tosses it to Rusty. Rusty looks at him oddly. STEVEN Just in case. Rusty nods and gets into the plane. Steven look around and sees a door marked "Armory." He sprints to it and opens it up. A small arsenal is inside. Steven grabs a rifle and several magazines of ammunition. He looks down and spots a handful of Claymore mines. Steven grabs them and some wiring. He places the rifle and ammunition next to the plane. Steven wires the claymores into a detonation clacker and places them near the hangar door. He sprints back to the rifle and puts the clacker on the floor. Steven picks up the rifle and aims it at the door.

INT. PRISON HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER A pair of LARGE GUARDS escort Wayne Cutler down a long and winding hallway. They're both well over 6'5 and 300 pounds of absolute muscle. Cutler is dressed in a bright clown suit, complete with a bright, multi-colored clown wig. The Guards are holding in laughter as they walk. WAYNE CUTLER This wasn't what I wanted to wear when I die, either. They turn a corner and see Conor and Marcus walking towards them. MARCUS Is there something in the water here or something? LARGE GUARD #1 Excuse me? (CONTINUED) 80. CONTINUED:

MARCUS I was really hoping for a midget in here. LARGE GUARD #2 If you want to fight, then let's-- BANG! BANG! Both guards fall to the ground, dead with bullets through their head. Smoke rises out of the barrel of Conor's pistol. MARCUS (to Conor) We could've won that fight. The President stares at the gun. CONOR (to Marcus) The two of them versus me and a one legged man in a ass kicking contest doesn't seem fair. Conor hands the pistol to Marcus. CONOR (CONT’D) You look weird without a weapon. Conor walks up to the Large Guards, taking both their pistols. CONOR (CONT’D) (to Wayne) You've got an appointment in Washington, sir, that you're very late for. Conor and Marcus look at his outfit. Both chuckle lightly. MARCUS You can change on the plane.

INT. HANGAR - MOMENTS LATER A TURNER SOLDIER walks in and looks around. Steven trains the rifle on him, following the Soldier's movements. STEVEN (under his breath) Come on man, just leave. (CONTINUED) 81. CONTINUED:

The soldier looks around and then goes to the hangar door. Steven takes a deep breath as he exits. SOLDIER (O.S.) I've spotted them inside the hangar. RADIO CONTROLLER (O.S.) Apprehend them. The soldier walks back in and points his rifle at Steven. BHAM! The soldier falls to the ground, dead. STEVEN WE GOT COMPANY! Another one runs through the door. KLANK! The gun is jammed. Steven pulls the receiver back, an unspent bullet hitting the ground. TURNER SOLDIERS pour through the hangar door. RATATAT! Steven mows them down with the rifle. He grabs the detonation clacker for the claymores. More soldiers pour into the hangar.

INT. PRODUCTION STUDIO - CONTINUOUS Four members of his ELITE SECURITY walk up to Percy. TURNER ELITE #1 We've spotted the terrorists, Der Fuhrer. They're trapped in the hangar. PERCY MALPHUS I want to personally execute them. TURNER ELITE #1 Yes Der Fuhrer. PERCY MALPHUS Someone bring the football with us.

(CONTINUED) 82. CONTINUED:

TURNER ELITE #2 What about the terrorists, sir? PERCY MALPHUS This could also be a distraction to get us away from it. One of the Elite Security Guards grabs the Nuclear Football. Malphus exits, the Turner Elite security in tow.

EXT. WOLF'S LAIR - CONTINUOUS Marcus, Conor and the President exit the prison building. BOOM! The doors of the hangar are blown wide open as bodies are everywhere. A number of troops charge into the hangar. MARCUS We need to go wherever they aren't. CONOR Rusty and Steven are there. We can't leave them behind. The President spots the Jeep with the machine gun. He coughs. Conor and Marcus look at the Jeep. CONOR (CONT’D) Who wants to live forever? Conor gets behind the wheel as Marcus hops into the back, arming the Browning.

INT. HANGAR - CONTINUOUS Steven is pinned down in a hail of gunfire. He pops up and pulls the trigger, ducking quickly. Every time he does so a Turner Soldier dies. He stands up and aims his rifle downrange. BHAM! The rifle falls out of Steven's hands. He looks down and spots a bullet wound in his shoulder. BHAM! Another shot in the chest. Steven falls to his knees. (CONTINUED) 83. CONTINUED:

BHAM! One between his eyes. Steven slumps to the ground dead. A volley of gunfire hits the plane. We hear Anita whistle. The soldiers stop firing. Anita walks in behind the soldiers. A rifle is in her hands, the barrel still smoldering. Walter is right behind her, an evil grin on his lips. ANITA VAN DYKE (loudly) Come out come out wherever you are!

INT. PLANE - COCKPIT - MOMENTS LATER Rusty looks at the grenade and then to the sky. RUSTY (under his breath) It isn't crashing a plane, at least. He grabs the grenade and holds the compressor. Rusty pulls the pin, holding the compressor tightly. RUSTY (CONT’D) (loudly) I'm coming out. Don't shoot.

INT. HANGAR - MOMENTS LATER Around a hundred Turner Soldiers have their weapons pointed at the plane. Percy Malphus walks in, surrounded by his security. He has a phone in his hands. PERCY MALPHUS Good. Bring it to the Wolf's Lair. Percy hangs up and walks towards Anita. ANITA VAN DYKE They're in the plane, Der Fuhrer. Do you want--

(CONTINUED) 84. CONTINUED:

PERCY MALPHUS Please don't. It took me a long time to find it. Rusty exits the plane. He has the grenade in his hand behind him, holding the compressor in tight. PERCY MALPHUS (CONT’D) Where's the rest of your team, Captain? Rusty looks around and spots Steven's body. He takes a deep breath and sighs. RUSTY Once we got off the train Marcus and Conor ran away. Steven and I were going to fly to Canada. Anita raises the rifle at him. Walter smiles. RUSTY (CONT’D) I'm shocked you'd do it this way. I thought you'd want to show how tough you really are. ANITA VAN DYKE Excuse me? RUSTY I break your nose and you want the easy way out. I'm offended. Anita smiles. We hear the roar of a Jeep in the distance. PERCY MALPHUS You think you can take her? Percy laughs loudly. Rusty smiles. We hear a Browning heavy machine gun get loaded in the distance. Anita tosses her rifle to the ground. She does a martial arts pose and points to Rusty. ANITA VAN DYKE I'm going to love watching you die. The grenade feels heavy in Rusty's hand. His arm shakes.

Percy turns to the soldiers and glares at them. They point their rifles to the ground. RUSTY Just remember... you wanted this. Rusty tosses the grenade at Percy. Anita jumps on it. Walter sprints in the opposite direction, Percy following him. BOOM! Her body lurches in the air. Rusty sprints to the plane as a hundred rifles rise at him. He spots Steven's rifle and dives to it. The thunder of a dual Browning machine gun rips through the Turner Soldiers like a knife through butter. Walter is hit in his legs, his body falling to the ground violently. The soldiers turn to the source of the gunfire. Rusty pulls the trigger and empties the clip downrange. He ducks behind cover and sees the unspent round. Rusty loads it into the rifle. The hellfire of the Browning punctures the air. The Jeep accelerates into the hangar. It's taking fire as Conor shoves the President's head down with one hand, barely controlling the Jeep with his other hand. Marcus fires the Browning with a smile on his face nothing could take off. Body parts and corpses litter the hangar as the Browning cuts through the Turner soldiers. BANG! POP! The Jeep's tire is hit by a bullet and deflates instantly. Conor can't maintain control and crashes into the wall. Marcus is sent flying in the crash. Several Turner Soldiers charge the Jeep. Conor emerges with the President. The Turner Soldiers have them dead to rights. BANG! BANG! BANG! Conor looks over and sees Marcus running to him. He tosses Marcus his pistols. Conor and Wayne sprint to the plane. Marcus spots a handful of Turner Soldiers guarding Percy. BANG! BANG! BANG!

(CONTINUED) 86. CONTINUED: (3)

They all fall dead. Percy hides underneath their corpses. Marcus assumes he's dead and turns to the plane. BANG! Conor is hit in the chest and goes down. We see Walter in the distance, wounded but not out. He takes aim at Wayne. Marcus spins to face Walter. BANG! BANG! BANG! Walter dies in a hail of gunfire. Percy emerges and sprints to the exit. Marcus turns to him. BANG! CLICK! Percy hits the ground, dead. The President spots the Nuclear Football and sprints to it. Conor runs with him, proving cover. BANG! A bullet bounces off the plane. Rusty looks over and sees Anita. She's covered in blood and struggling to stand. Her torso is a combination of blood, guts and cybernetics sparking. BANG! Anita hits the ground, a bullet lodged in her mechanical eye. Rusty tosses the rifle down. Marcus picks up Steven's body and gets on the plane. Rusty follows him. CONOR Mister President, we need to get going! The President grabs the Nuclear Football. Wayne rips off the device and throws it on the ground. WAYNE CUTLER We need to shut this down before they get access to our nukes. He opens up the football and types on it. It bricks. CONOR Let's go! (CONTINUED) 87. CONTINUED: (4)

Wayne and Conor sprint to the plane. The American soldiers and the President board the plane. The engines start. More soldiers stream into the hangar as the AGO Ao 192 turns toward the exit. Bullets are shot at the plane as it exits the hangar. Anita stands up and runs to the exit. She picks up a rifle from a Turner Soldier along the way.

EXT. RUNWAY - CONTINUOUS The Turner plane heads down the runway and takes off. Anita opens fire on it with the rifle.

INT. PLANE - CONTINUOUS Bullets rip through the plane. Conor is hit in the shoulder and falls to the ground. MARCUS GET US OUT OF HERE! RUSTY (O.S.) I'm trying! Marcus looks around. MARCUS (to Wayne) Find a med kit! Marcus and Wayne search the plane. Wayne opens up a small bag and finds a med kit. WAYNE CUTLER Found it! Wayne goes to close the bag and spots an advanced looking cell phone. He takes it out.

INT. PLANE - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS Rusty pulls the yoke back to him as the plane climbs. Wayne walks in. He looks outside the window and then to Rusty.

(CONTINUED) 88. CONTINUED:

WAYNE CUTLER When we get level head due east! If we are where I think we are then we shouldn't be far from the border. RUSTY Yes sir.

INT. PLANE - CONTINUOUS Marcus grabs the med kit and bandages Conor up. Wayne walks back in and calls the White House on the phone.

EXT. WOLF'S LAIR RUNWAY - CONTINUOUS The AGO Ao 192 heads towards the DMZ as it rises in the air. WAYNE CUTLER (O.S.) This is the President! Get me Horowitz, now! Anita aims diligently at the AGO Ao 192's cockpit. OPERATOR (O.S.) We need your authorization code. WAYNE CUTLER (O.S.) Pensacola! Ego! Nautical! Indigo! Sailor!

INT. PLANE - CONTINUOUS Rusty looks at the President oddly. WAYNE CUTLER It's a long story. They both laugh. A bullet rips through the cabin. The mood changes quickly. OPERATOR (O.S.) Code accepted.

INT. PENTAGON - STRATEGY ROOM - CONTINUOUS ANALYSTS, TECHNICIANS and CABINETS surround a number of monitors. Horowitz has a phone in his hands. (CONTINUED) 89. CONTINUED:

DAN HOROWITZ Mister President? WAYNE CUTLER (O.S.) You got him! The room explodes in cheers. A blip comes up on one of the screens. It's designated as Turner One. A red bulletin point comes up with an immediate termination notice if it crosses the border. DAN HOROWITZ We're tracking Turner One moving towards the DMZ.

INT. PLANE - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS Several bullets pass through the cabin. WAYNE CUTLER We're in it. I'd like it-- A bullet knocks the phone out of Wayne's hand. He shakes it in pain as he looks around. Wayne spots the phone, damaged beyond repair. He sighs.

INT. PENTAGON - STRATEGY ROOM - CONTINUOUS Panicked faces are everywhere.

INT. PLANE - CONTINUOUS The plane rises in the air. After a moment it levels out. Conor relaxes, bandaged up and sitting on the floor. Lots of his blood is on the floor. His face is white, his breathing labored and painful. MARCUS Just stay with me you lazy drunk. CONOR I'll send Steven your regards. I'll be seeing him soon... hopefully. MARCUS You ain't dying yet.

(CONTINUED) 90. CONTINUED:

Conor grabs Marcus's hand tightly. CONOR It was an honor to fight with you. MARCUS I want to see those sheepdogs. CONOR They're bearded-- A bullet rips through the plane and hits Conor in the head. He's gone instantly.

EXT. WOLF'S LAIR RUNWAY - CONTINUOUS CLICK! CLICK! CLICK! Anita throws the rifle down and walks away.

EXT. SKY - MOMENTS LATER The AGO Ao 192 is over the DMZ. We can see the Air Force Base. Three TURNER FIGHTER PLANES emerge from out of nowhere. They unload machine gun fire onto the plane. The right engine smokes and dies.

INT. PLANE - COCKPIT - CONTINUOUS Rusty spots the smoke. Emergency alarms go off throughout the cabin. He grabs the radio. RUSTY Mayday! Mayday! We hear nothing but static. Wayne sprints into the cockpit and sits in the co-pilot's chair. He grabs the radio from Rusty. WAYNE CUTLER Keep this plane in the air! Wayne presses on the receiver. WAYNE CUTLER (CONT’D) Mayday! This is Air Force One!

(CONTINUED) 91. CONTINUED:

More static. Marcus walks in with two parachutes. Rusty and Wayne look at him. WAYNE CUTLER (CONT’D) (to Rusty) I can't ask-- RUSTY (to Wayne) You don't have to, Mister President. Just get him home. (looks to Marcus) I'll try to get you as close to the border as possible. Marcus looks at him incredulously. MARCUS What about your family? RUSTY I promised you guys I'd get you home if it was the last thing I-- The plane rattles with gunfire again. Marcus and Wayne look at the back door. AFB OPERATOR (O.S.) This is Stern Air Force Base! We hear you loudly Air Force One! Wayne grabs the controller. WAYNE CUTLER We got company and they aren't staying for dinner.

EXT. SKY - CONTINUOUS The second engine goes out on the AGO Ao 192 under heavy fire from the Turner planes. The AGO Ao 192 crosses into American airspace and angles towards the Air Force Base. The Turner planes open fire again. WHOOSH! A missile destroys one of the Turner planes. (CONTINUED) 92. CONTINUED:

Five US AIR FORCE FIGHTER JETS appear out of nowhere. WHOOSH! Missiles take out another Turner plane. The third turns around and flies back towards Turner territory. Two of the American Fighter jets escort the AGO Ao 192 across the DMZ. It quickly descends towards the runway.

EXT. MILITARY RUNWAY - CONTINUOUS The AGO Ao 192 lands hard, it's landing wheels breaking upon impact. It hits the ground and bounces, sparks flying out from it everywhere. The plane collides with an emergency wall, stopping. A handful of EMERGENCY VEHICLES rush to the scene.

INT. HOSPITAL - ICU - AFTERNOON (SEVERAL DAYS LATER) Rusty lies on a hospital bed, unconscious. His body is bruised up, his right arm in a cast. A handful of Secret Service Agents walk into the room. The President is in a wheelchair and wheeled into the room by a Secret Service Agent. Rusty wakes up and sees him. He tries to move but his body won't comply. WAYNE CUTLER At ease, Captain Kolodziejski. RUSTY You're one of three people who actually has gotten that right. WAYNE CUTLER I asked someone how to say it. They both chuckle. RUSTY My men, sir.

WAYNE CUTLER Sergeant Jackson is recovering a couple rooms down. Lieutenant Chan and Sergeant Walsh will be given full military honors and buried at Arlington Cemetery. RUSTY Thank you, sir. The President reaches over and grabs Rusty's hand. He squeezes it. WAYNE CUTLER A grateful nation thanks you a second time for your service.

EXT. SKY - CONTINUOUS The Pacific Northwest is beautiful and quiet.

INT. SECRET TURNER FACILITY - CONTINUOUS Several hundred feet underneath the ground is a large room with an exact replica of the time machine from the secret facility. A TURNER SCIENTIST works on a console. ANITA VAN DYKE (O.S.) How close are you to being ready? Anita emerges from the shadows holding a tablet computer. An eye patch is where her robotic eye used to be. TURNER SCIENTIST If I had their output data I-- ANITA VAN DYKE They made it work and they're not half as smart as you. Anita hands him a tablet. The Scientist touches it. A handful of NAZI SUPER SOLDIERS, as well as ADOLF HITLER, come up on the screen. ANITA VAN DYKE (CONT’D) Once this is ready we'll unleash our own Wunderwaffe on them. 94.

EXT. ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY - DAWN (4 MONTHS LATER) We see the graves of Conor Walsh and Steven Chan among the thousands who gave their lives for the cause of Freedom. Marcus and Rusty in casual clothing. MARCUS I get to see my mother again because of you. Thank you, sir. Marcus turns to him and extends his hand. They shake.

EXT. PARKING LOT - CONTINUOUS A large, futuristic Jeep is the only car in the lot. An ARMORED SEDAN pulls up. Rusty and Marcus walk in as Dan exits the Sedan. RUSTY We're ready, sir. DAN HOROWITZ There's no easy way to say this. (beat) The time machine is broken and we can't fix it. You two are-- Rusty slugs Dan as hard as he can. A Secret Service Agent exits the vehicle, gun drawn and pointed at Rusty. Dan points at him to put the gun down. DAN HOROWITZ (CONT’D) Don't. I deserve this. The agent puts his gun away. Dan gets to his feet. Blood pours out of his now broken nose. MARCUS (to Rusty) Can I hit him too? Rusty nods. Marcus walks up to Dan and punches him as hard as he can. Dan hits the ground with a thud, groaning in pain. The two soldiers help Dan to his feet. Dan hands Rusty a futuristic cell phone. They look at it curiously.

DAN HOROWITZ If your country needs you again... we'll call. I hope you pick up. Rusty and Marcus walk towards the Jeep.

INT. JEEP - MOMENTS LATER Marcus and Rusty get inside, Marcus behind the wheel. He starts the engine. A holographic map comes up. The men look at each other oddly. RUSTY You think they still make a Chicago Hot Dog correctly? MARCUS Only one way to find out. (looks at hologram) Chicago. Automated directions come up to get them to the city of Chicago.

EXT. PARKING LOT - CONTINUOUS The Jeep drives off towards Chicago. FADE OUT.
