Bottega S.p.A. is a winery and distillery owned by the third generation of the family Bottega, who has an abiding interest and experience in grappa and wine businesses.
The company is located in Bibano di Godega (45 km north of Venice), inside Villa Rosina: a 16th century farmhouse renovated to preserve the original architectural and environmental characteristics. The vineyards surrounding the building are part of Prosecco DOC area and managed according to the organic farming practices. Vittorio Veneto vineyard Follina vineyard Montalcino Valpolicella Bottega produces and distributes typical Italian premium quality wine, grappa, spirits and food all over the world. The production ranges from mono-variety grappa to aged grappa, from limoncino to creamy liquors, from sparkling wines to red wines – the latter produced in the wineries in Montalcino (Tuscany) and Valgatara (in the heart of Valpolicella). The tour starts with a welcome toast in a cosy room with a traditional fireplace; then guests proceed to the “Art in Grappa” Museum, where artistic blown glass bottles, branded Alexander, are collected.
“Art in Grappa” Museum Guests will be guided to discover other areas such as the “Prosecco Bar” and the Distillery, considered the heart of the company, where grappa is produced. Despite the use of technology, the art of distillation is still a ritual and a poetic process: indeed, the Master Distiller is the alchemist of modern times. The guests walk through the vineyards and towards the production area, where they can watch the different stages of production, taste wines during the fermentation process, and lemon peels infused with grappa.
