REGISTRATION Licenses: Only competitors and team officials with a valid IFSC international license are allowed to register for the competition.

Pre-registration: In order to support the efficient organisation of the competitions, it is very important that National Federations register participants to the competitions as early as possible.

Deadline: The deadline for registration is 15 days before the first day of competition (the “Registration Date”) at 11:59 PM UTC +0: April 1, 2021.

Online Technical Meeting: (as per the Addendum to IFSC Rules) A representative from each participating Member Federation shall participate to the online Technical meeting lead by the IFSC Technical Delegate. PRE-EVENT REGULATIONS All participating athletes, officials and organising staff must submit a negative COVID-19 real-time-PCR test (taken no more than 72 hours to the arrival day) to the COVID-19 Outbreak Response Coordinator Doctor, Lea Kistler at [email protected] upon arrival/registration at the event. All athletes and team officials are recommended to have insurance coverage, covering hospitalization and all other medical coverage if required due to COVID-19 and possible repatriation back to their home country. The IFSC will not be responsible for any of these costs.

CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE (as per the Addendum to IFSC Rules)

Participation of all Team Members shall be confirmed upon arrival to location to the IFSC Technical Delegate by phone or via email in the 24 hours period between 11:59 PM (UTC +2) of April 14 and 11:59 PM (UTC +2) of April 15. Confirmation of attendance and Temperature Testing on site Each Teams will be assigned a timeslot starting from 1:00 PM (UTC+2) on Thursday April 15 to take the Temperature Test. How to get to MEIRINGEN

By Plane:

Fly Swiss or other airlines into Zürich, Basel-Mulhouse or Geneva

By Train:

Approximate travel time from Zürich via Luzern: 2.30 h

Approximate travel time from Geneva via Bern and -Ost: 3.30h

The competition venue is located within 10 minutes walking distance from the Meiringen railway station.

By car:

Approximate travel time from Zürich or Basel via Luzern: 1.30 h.

Approximate travel time from Geneva via Bern, , and Interlaken: 3 h

From Luzern or Interlaken follow the main road and the signs to Meiringen, Haslital.

HOW TO GET THERE

COMPETITION VENUE The competition will be held indoors at the Haslital Climbing Center in Meiringen, , Switzerland.

The venue is located next to the Meiringen climbing and bouldering gym, on the east end of the village, within an easy 10 minutes walking distance from the village centre and the railway station.

Holding area and warm up will be at a different location with shuttlebus service in between.

Event will be held with no spectators due to the National Regulation against Covid-19 pandemic.

Procedures as per 17 February 2021:

• Anyone with coronavirus symptoms shall be tested as soon as possible. • In case of a positive result from a rapid test, a PCR test will be mandatory. COVID-19 Outbreak Response Coordinator Doctor will manage each situation. • People who have tested positive after a PCR test, must go into isolation. Countries outside of the Schengen area All participants from countries outside the Schengen area must check if you are one of the countries with an exception. In case of special necessity, it is possible to enter Switzerland despite the entry ban. Persons who require a visa must apply for one at the Swiss foreign representation where they live, explaining why they are a case of special necessity. Exceptions are possible for: Entry by professional sportsmen and women and their coaches, etc., in order to participate in competitions or for training camps.

Testing and quarantine for persons arriving from countries and regions with increased risk of infection

Exemption from testing and quarantine The Ordinance on Measures to Combat the Coronavirus in International Passenger Transport 818.101.27 (https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/cc/2021/61/en) allows under Art. 8, section (C) an exception from the requirement to be tested and to quarantine (https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/cc/2021/61/en#art_8) for persons who for compelling professional reasons enter Switzerland and whose visit cannot be postponed. The same Art. 8,section (G) states the exemption for participating to a sporting competition.

This applies to all athletes, coaches and medical personnel for the period of their stay for the participation in the IFSC Climbing World Cup in Meiringen.

Awareness and ability to explain exemptions

When asked, you must be able to explain to the Swiss and Bernese authorities that it is due to article 8, section 1c of this ordinance on International Passenger Transport that you are exempt from quarantine (and testing if arriving earlier) and explain that the participation at the World Cup falls under important professional reasons and that of course this could not be postponed.

Also you must also be able to explain the protection concepts. During the competition in Switzerland the following measures will be applied to all participating athletes, officials and organizing staff.

Travel Information Entry in Switzerland

May I travel to Switzerland?

For all non Swiss citizens or non Swiss residents, please check www.sem.admin.ch for travel restrictions (website of our State Secretariat for Migration SEM).

Normal entry requirements apply to persons from Schengen states, EU member states, certain small European states and certain states outside Europe.

For all others, you are considered a high-risk country and special restrictions apply. But you can still enter Switzerland in cases of special necessity (that applies to professional sportsmen and women and their coaches in order to participate in competitions).
