Whether over the open fire or in modern copper vats – the Emmental Show Dairy in Affoltern gives you an up-close look at the production of the world- renowned Emmentaler AOC cheese. Besides seeing the Küherstock (herdsman’s cottage) from the year 1741, the Chäshütte (cheese hut) dating to 1900, and the old village dairy from 1954, you can also watch demonstrations of modern cheese production. Specialty cheeses can be purchased in the shop and sampled in the restaurant.
