Contributions to Future Editions The Oxfordshire Family Historian is published three times each year with cover dates of April, August and December. Items for consideration should be submitted to the editor. The earlier an item is received, the greater the chance of inclusion in the next issue. The deadline for the April 2013 issue is 15th January 2013. Urgent short items may be submitted up to 1st February 2013. The Editor reserves the right to edit, abridge, reject, or defer to a future date, all material submitted for publication. OFHS News Guild Award for Jack Blencowe

At the Guild of One-Name Studies AGM in April, OFHS member Jack Blencowe was amongst those awarded the Guild Award of Excellence. This was the first year of the award, which was issued retrospectively to the previous winners of Guild Publications competitions. Jack had won second prize in 2009 for his book The BLENCOWE Families. Guild Regional Representative for Oxfordshire, Wendy Archer, presented Jack with his award in Oxford and was shown Jack’s copy, No.1, of the thousand copies published.
