Potsdam offers a variety of suitable hotels in and close to the historical center. Here is a selection based mainly on distance to the venue and availability of rooms:

Travel
Travel to Potsdam from Berlin is fairly straightforward. There is an S-Bahn line (S7) which runs directly to Potsdam Main station from Berlin. Alternatively there are regional trains which are slightly faster but not as frequent. Prices are the same from either airport or Berlin Main Station , choose the ticket “Berlin ABC”), and are at the moment 3.40 Euros one direction. They can be purchased at vending machines at the stations.
1. From Airport Berlin Tegel
From Tegel you will have to take a bus, the bus station is right in front of the main entrance to Terminal A/B. There are several options which all end up close to the S7 line. We recommend the bus TXL, which stops at Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Berlin Man Station).
Option 1: Take Bus TXL (Direction S+U Alexanderplatz) to Berlin Hauptbahnhof. Then take the S7 line to Potsdam Main Station. The Bus departs at 20 minutes intervals, the trip will take approximately an hour.
Option 2: Take Bus 109 to S-Bahn Station Charlottenburg, then change to line S 7 to Potsdam Main Station. The Bus and the S-Bahn depart at 10 minutes intervals and the trip will take approximately an hour.
2. From Airport Berlin Schönefeld
Take Regional Train RB22 directly to Potsdam Main Station. The train departs in one-hour intervals and the trip will take 55 minutes (6 Stops).
3. From Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Main Railway Station)
Take S7 line to Potsdam Main Station. The trip will take half an hour.
