NOTE TO FOREIGN BUYERS: —Quotations of rosin are for 280 1bs., gross (no tare) and for rosins in lines as received vy factors in naval stores yards at Savannah on day of arrival. Factors do not cut out grades,but sellin full lines as received by them Buyers here carry large stocks and frequently carry different grades of rosin several months before disposing ofand shipping them. Interest, storage charges, .nsurance, handling, ete., as well as freight enter into prices delivered abroad. These are the official quo- tations at both the morning and afternoon postings of each day of the week,and show the fluctuations of the spot market at Savan- nah, the primary market of the world, which largely governs the other markets. Quotations of spirits are by the gallon. A cask averages about 51 gallons, Delivery by factors at naval stores yard. These figures and those of receipts, shipments and stocks at Sav- annah and elsewhere are of packages. A package or barrel of rosin weighs on the average of 480 pounds.
