CURRICULUM VITAE OF Overview of Key Experience: Tom Darlington Balojja, PhD Dr Tom Darlington Balojja, is a lecturer at the East African School of Higher Education Studies and Development, College of Education Dip.Ed (ITEK), B.Ed (Hons) (Makerere Makerere University. He is formally an Associate Consultant at University), M.Ed (IUIU), PhD Uganda Management Institute, Kampala and a part time lecturer at (VNSGU) Uganda Martyr’s University, Nkozi Masaka Centre. He headed the education department of Lyantonde District, Uganda for over 8 eight years before embarking on a scholarship to pursue PhD studies in 2013. Prior, he had worked as a teacher, headteacher and education officer in different institutions. His experience ranges from teaching, practicing administration, and doing consultancy work in management related projects and activities.

He holds a PhD in Education (Management) obtained from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat , Gujarat ,India in February 2017. He too holds a Master of Education (management), a Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Education. He has also had several other trainings in leadership, governance and management coupled with variously building capacity of human resources in Years in Education management different organisations. a) Advisory services to administration, academic, research staff and students

• From time to time I have participated as a member and sometimes as Chairperson of panels in proposal defense and viva voce in three schools of Uganda Management Institute namely; School of Civil Service, Public Administration and Governance; School of Management Science and School of Business and Management Studies;

• I have advised several students on how to improve on their research works as referred to me by the research staff;

• I am serving as the Vice Chairperson of the Association of Associate Consultants of Uganda Management Institute. On several occasions, acting on a call from the top Management of the Institute, I have advised management on various issues regarding Associate Consultants.

• Given my background and experience, whereas I left the department of projects where I served more as a mentor of school managers during trainings, I have been retained and have continued to serve in this capacity wherever there are trainings.
