The variants of the Fishplate Joints that are approved within this certificate are: • 40/47kg (80/94lb) • 40/53kg (80/107lb) • 47/53kg (94/107lb) • 53/60kg (107/122lb) • AS60/UIC60kg • New/Worn “stepped” junction (e.g. 47-47kg) with table wear offsets between 1mm and 10mm.

• The junction fishplates shall comply with AS1085.2-2002 Railway track material Part 2: Fishplates. • The junction fishplates may only be installed in mainline track if the conditions of installation are in accordance with the directive L1-CHE-GDL-047 - Elimination of Bolt Holes. • Track delivery shall ensure to use the correct offset for the measured table wear. This offset shall be requested in writing from Westray prior to them commencing the machining process. • All bolt holes (including switch heels) shall be prestressed by the Conditions/Service Cold Bolt Expansion technique to strengthen bolt holes against Restrictions: stress cracking. • The supplier or manufacturer shall advise MTM of any product or systems related changes made to any of the following aspect: o Identification o Performance characteristics o Form/Fit/Function o Place of manufacture o Installation/operating process. • The junction fishplates shall not be used where sleepers are considered to be an ineffective tie or bearer.
