Afghan Urial: Hunting the Afghan Urial and the Markhor can be com- bined in the Torghar region. The Afghan Urial, with horns between 26 inches and 32 inches, may be hunted in the Torghar Mountains. Amongst countries which allow hunting, this is the region which has the finest trophies and true Afghan Urial. The black and white bib is their characteristics and December through March are the best months for hunting. The terrain is easy, the camps are nice and traditional Pakistan food is provided.

Blandford Urial: These live in the hills around Dureji three hours from Karachi and close to the Indian Ocean at an altitude of between 1500 feet and 3000 feet. The Blandford trophies of 26 inches to 30 inches are possible which are solely indigenous to this region. It is possible to obtain superb trophies within a few days, while staying in a very comfortable camp with good Pakistan food.

Punjab Urial: The Punjab Urial hunt is just opened for hunting in the salt region of the Punjab province. The accommodations are in a community guest house. The hunting area provides beautiful rolling hills. The Season is December to early March, with trophies of 26 inches to 30 inches can be expected.

Blue Sheep: The Karakuram Blue Sheep is indigenous to the Pakistan Hima- layan and Karakurum Range. Northern areas can be reached by a flight to Gilgit and Skardu as well as the Karakurum highway, which goes to Southern China. The season suitable for the Karakuram Blue sheep is November to March, as the snow brings them to lower areas. The hunting areas are 9,000 feet to 14,000 feet and an average of this specie is 24 inches to 30 inches in horn length. Accommodations are camp style with Pakistani food provided. Sindhi Ibex: These species live in th hills around Dureji, 3 hours from Karachi and close to the Indian Ocean at an altitude of between 15000 feet and 3000 feet. Sind Ibex trophies are between 36 inches and 44 inch- es. It is possible to obtain superb trophies within a few days while staying in a very comfortable camp.

Pakistan Hunting Fact Sheet Himalayan Ibex: The Himalayan Ibex is indigenous to the Pakistan Hima- layan and Karakurum Range. Northern areas can be reached by flying to Gilgit and Skardu as well as Karakurum highway which goes to Southern China. Hunting season is December to March for Ibex, as the snow brings this trophy to lower areas. The hunting areas are 9000 feet to 12000 feet and the average of this species is 36 inches to 40 inches in horn length. There are several good community managed areas where good trophies can be hunted. Accommodations are in community guest houses with Pakistan food. Astore Markor: The habitat of these is in the Gilget, Skardu and Astor regions of Northern Pakistan in the valleys which branch off from the River Indus. In Comparison with the Kasmire, their horns curves are wider. Like the Kashmire, the Astor is in the flare horned Markhor Category. It is possible to hunt the Himalayan Ibex and the Markhor in combination. Sulieman Markhor: The Suleiman Markhor is found in the Torghar Range in Western Pakistan, a five hours drive from Quette. In particular the Torghar Mountains are a conservation area and on of the few habitats of the straight horned Markhor, The hunting season is November through March, Compared to the other species they live in a clearer and drier climate at an altitude of be- tween 7500 feet and 9000 feet. The terrain is easy, nice camping ac- commodations and Pakistan food is provided. Kasmir Markor: This is a species whose horns are reminiscent of those of the African and the animals are particular magnificent with their long hair, specially a long bib and flare horns. These animals are distributed along the Valley in the northwestern mountains of the . In this region, they can be hunted within the scope of three sperate local conservation programs. Trophies average between 38 inches and 42 inches and fine ones of up to 45 inches can be found. The areas is 6000 feet to 75000 feet and covered with forests, which are green all year long. Accommodations are in a local hotel with Pakistani food.
