4 I wonder how long I am going to be starting or ending letters with the words, we live in strange times. Mind you things are becoming less strange and a new ‘normal’ is creeping through. Speaking to each other from a distance is better than not seeing anyone at all. Having St Edward’s open for private prayer is a time to see people as well as a time of peace in God’s house. I am glad to have been able to see God at work in the Ministry Area in different ways. The zoom services continue to be popular and a wonderful way for so many people to get together for virtual fellowship. I have also witnessed people coming together to help others in their neighbourhoods. The sense of spirit has been fabulous. There are many who are behind the scenes providing all types of support. These people are unknown to many but they are there. We have also remembered the dreadful bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This was not a church initiative but Churches Together and the ministers were invited to take part, and we did. This is a snapshot of what has been happening. To me the important thing is that nobody is being labelled as Christian, Church people or non-Church people. We come together in peace and love to help those who meed help, locally or throughout the world. Our beliefs and ideologies are not questionedVicar’s or criticisedLetter but respected as we all come together to do what needs to be done to help tour towns and villagesPetra’s and theLetter people therein. I am a Christian and I believe that God is behind all of these wonderful deeds. I pray for all involved and give thanks for their input, whilst praying for all who need help. Many of those that I pray for will not be religious in any way and I respect that. I know that God loves us all. He has no prejudice. This is how we should be, accepting of others. In a respectful way. No matter what our background. We live in the most wonderful and blessed part of the world. Let us work to keep it that way.

54 Floods

Most of us watched our streams gradually dry up this summer; that is, until the evening of August 12th.

The flood water pours down from Wernygeufron Hill to the B4355 road between Dutlas and Lloyney.

Floods

It gouged this two foot sink hole in the main road, on the evening of August 12th. So once again Beguildy and Felindre are cut off from travelling to Knighton.
