ZAVVI HAS ONLINE SUCCESS THANKS TO HYBRIS E-COMMERCE SubmittedPLATFORM by: Ascendant Communications Wednesday, 26 March 2008

London – 26 March 2008. hybris, www.hybris.com, a leading multi-channel communication and commerce software vendor and its implementation partner Javelin Group (www.javelingroup.com) announced today that the hybris e-commerce solution developed by Javelin Group for group (www.zavvi.co.uk), formerly , has played a key role in the impressive 70 per cent increase in online sales experienced by zavvi during its first trading period during December 2007. One of the main reasons behind the selection of the hybris e-commerce platform by zavvi was the strength of its Product Information Management (PIM) features which are essential for retail websites with large product catalogues such as zavvi.co.uk. By providing information management and publishing in one location that can be updated in real time, hybris increases the ease and efficiency with which zavvi can manage the merchandising, promotional and transactional elements of its main retail website. Steve Kincaid, zavvi’s E-commerce Director, said: “The hybris e-commerce platform, combined with Javelin Group’s redesign and re-build of the website itself, are key to zavvi’s multi-channel strategy. We plan to drive increased growth in the business in 2008 by extending our games and Blu Ray product lines. In order to provide an online shopping experience geared to the needs of our customers across such a diverse and expanding product portfolio, we must be able to provide accurate product information and pricing at all times. A sophisticated PIM solution is critical in achieving this goal and we are reaping the benefits of a consistent and coordinated approach to product information thanks to hybris, only six months after going live.” Andrew Piscina, UK Country Manager for hybris, said: "zavvi’s ambitious growth plans require a highly scaleable, optimised e-commerce solution which will also enable it to take full advantage of new Web 2.0 capabilities. hybris has a proven track record in supporting multi-channel retail businesses and we look forward to working with our partner, Javelin Group, over the next year to deliver further enhancements to this ground breaking site.” Tony Stockil, Javelin Group’s CEO, said: "We were delighted to have delivered this e-commerce solution for zavvi on the hybris solution. This implementation has demonstrated that hybris is an excellent e-commerce solution and has cemented our relationship as hybris’ leading partner in the UK. We continue to work with zavvi to improve the performance of this already very successful web site.” About hybris hybris is a leading vendor of multi-channel communication & commerce software.
