After Gauthier, 1982 PREVIOUS WORK

The initial mineral exploitation in the Maniwaki district dates back to the latter half of the nineteenth century when mica was produced from a number of small opencast mines.

Around the mid 1890s the zinc deposit was discovered and opened up. There is some suggestion than a shipment of hand cobbed zinc ores took place at that time.

In 1945 a Quebec Government field party led by Aubert de la Rue discovered disseminated zinc mineralization on the west bank of the Gatineau River. Prospecting in the vicinity by the same field party discovered the Lafontaine zinc deposit. This deposit was later drilled by St. Joe Lead Company. In 1947 the Lafontaine deposit was brought into production by Norzinc Mines Limited who built a concentrator and discovered the nearby Parker deposit that same year. Twenty-five thousand tons of zinc concentrates were produced and shipped.

Leitch Gold Mines, under the supervision of geologist Charles Pegg, located the high grade Leitch Zinc deposit as a result of a geochemical survey in 1969. This deposit was stripped and diamond drilled the following year. Subsequent drill programs by Cominco Limited, St. Joe Lead Company and Gracefield Mines Limited were carried out between 1970 and 1981.

The St. Joe Lead Company carried out geological and geochemical work in the vicinity of the Bouchette and Richer deposits between 1977 and 1981. Diamond drilling was carried out on the Bouchette Deposit.

In his report of 1982, M. Gauthier described zinc mineralization discovered by his MER field personnel at the following locations:

Petit Lac Des Cedres Village "A" Village "B" Du Trefle De L'Ile Poirier Lac Allard Lac Paquin

Prior to 1982 Shell Resources completed a Questor aerial electromagnetic survey of the Maniwaki zinc district and carried out ground VLF-EM and geochemical studies of selected locations. Drilling was recommended but there is no record of completion.

Gduvurncmenl du Oueboc Ministère de l'nerg e et des Ressources aDirection générale de l'Industrie minerals As a corollary to their geological studies, the Gauthier field party collected 550 reconnaissance scale stream sediment samples. Of this total 93 stream sites showed anomalous zinc, lead and copper values.

Prospecting Geophysics Limited (PGL) of Val D'Or, Quebec was engaged by Louvicourt Gold Mines Ltd to conduct an exploration program in the district, including claim staking and soil geochemical and ground geophysical surveys during 1998.

This exploration program prospected forty-seven selected locations. Thirty-five of these locations showed strong evidence of zinc mineralization. The geochemical surveys on the Richer Claims were part of this regional program.

GEOLOGY

On a regional basis, the Maniwaki rock units include the Pre Grenville Supergroup and basement rocks.

Supergroup rock stratigraphy shows the following sequence:

The subdivision of bedrock units shows Archean basement overlain by volcanic units, clastic sediments and carbonates, buried and strongly metamorphosed during the Grenville Orogeny. These metamorphosed sediments are intruded by later granites, diorites and syenites of undetermined age.

The Gracefield property is underlain by complex folded gneissic metasediments in contact with marble.

Richer Property Rpt, Mar/00 Page 3 MINERALIZATION

Two types of zinc mineralization exist in the Manawaki district:

1. Massive Sulfides This class of stratiform deposits is found near the contacts between crystalline limestone or dolomites with metamorphosed quartzites or gneissic rocks. A high iron content is present in the sphalerite (zinc sulfide) as well as magnetic iron sulfides in the mineral pyrrhotite. Recoverable copper, silver and cadmium-bearing minerals are present.

The zinc content ranges from 15% to 45%.

2. Disseminated Sulfides These deposits are found alone in impure crystalline marbles and dolomite and also in the proximity of the massive sulfides. The sulfide mineralization is in the form of honey-coloured low iron sphalerite. Iron minerals are generally rare.

The zinc content of these deposits range from 2% to 4%.

PROPERTY MINERALIZATION

Shell Canada during the coarse of their regional program discovered mineralized float in the vicinity of the Gracefield claims. This mineralization was described as disseminated sphalerite in marble, no assays were reported. During the current program a number of mineralized boulders were also noted by the soil sampling crew.

Gauthier also reports a stream sediment sample on the property with values of 176 ppm. Zn, 102 ppm Cu and 28 ppm. Cd

METHOD OF WORK

Before sample collection a flagged grid was established on the claims:

"H" Grid Grid lines established at 50 meter line spacing, with samples taken at 15 meter intervals

Samples were collected using a mattock or soil auger. The "B" horizon was taken where a podzol profile was developed.

Samples were dried and screened in the field. Prepared samples were then delivered to Bourlamaque Assay office in Val D'Or Quebec. Each sample was then digested in Aqua Regia - Nitric Acid solution, and analysed by atomic absorption for Zinc content. Results were reported in parts per million. These results have been plotted on the grid maps contained in this report.

RESULTS OF WORK

One anomalous trend was identified on the grid. The anomaly extends from L5+00N 1+50W to L14N 1+00E. Zinc values range from 314 to 1050 ppm. An isolated anomaly also occurs at L6N 5+00E, value of 343 ppm Zn.

RECOMMENDATIONS

The soil geochemical identified an anomalous trend which likely indicates underlying zinc mineralization on the property. This anomaly also has mineralized float associated with it.

It is recommended to extend coverage of soil sampling over the entire property coupled with a ground magnetometer survey over the whole grid to aid in interpretation for structure.

Subsequent to completion of a more detailed soil survey and ground geophysics a program of mechanical trenching is recommended to expose mineralized zones

A second phase would consist of diamond drill testing of the mineralized zones.
