LOCUM OPHTHALMOLOGIST – VISITING SPECIALIST – CATARACT SURGERY Kenora,

Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ontario is a 69-bed accredited, full-service, community hospital providing service to a regional population of approximately 30,000 permanent residents.

We invite applicants to a visiting specialist cataract surgery opportunity. You will enjoy working with our dynamic and collegial professional staff in our brand new 3-suite OR unit.

Qualifications for the position include: Independent licensure from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) with Specialty qualifications from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, CMPA membership, OHIP billing number & billing privileges.

Remuneration: Fee-for-service billed to OHIP or daily stipend/sessional rate of $536.47 (per 3-4hr clinic sessional) Travel stipend of $459 (per 3-4hrs of travel time) plus travel day honorarium of $300, meals ($40 per day), travel (flight, rental car and/or mileage of $0.41/km if using personal vehicle) and accommodation expenses. **Minimum of 6 hours of clinical work per day is required to be eligible for payment**

Expectations: One week/month: Mon-Wed in OR with clinic on Thursday; approximately 13 procedures/OR slate (flexible scheduling is available)
