Axel Homburg In October 2018 we received the sad news of the death of the long-standing Chairman of our Advisory Board and Honorary Curator Dr. Axel Homburg. Dr. Homburg was Chairman of the Advisory Board from 1994 until 2008. He then served as Honorary Curator until his death. Dr. Homburg was actively involved in the reorientation and further development of our institute. His economic and technological expertise and his precise analyses played a decisive role in shaping the direction of our research. We are very grateful to him for all his support, and will honor his memory.
