FINAL REPORT The following is a synopsis of reported activities and relevant responses covering the period of 08/28/2004 1700 hours through 08/29/2004 0700 hours.

TODAY'S EVENTS

• "United For Peace & Justice" anti-war march, today, between 1100 and 1900 hours.- Group has been permitted to march on 7`h Avenue past Madison Square 5th Garden, and then east on 34th Street, to Avenue, then south to Broadway, then south to Union Square Park. Certain segments of the march may attempt to unauthorized march toward Central Park. Approx. 250,000 are expected.

• "Manhattan Libertarian Party" to conduct anti-Iraq war/anti-RNC protest, today, at an unknown time. The group plans to march northbound on 8t Avenue from West 23rd Street to Columbus Circle, then northbound on Central Park West to 81St Street, where they will enter the park and proceed to the Great Lawn. The likely number of participants is unknown. No permit was issued.

• "Protest Warriors" to conduct counter protest of United For Peace and Justice event, today, between 1300 and 1600 hours, inside the main demonstration area located at 30th Street and 8th Avenue. Approximately 400 participants are expected. A permit has been issued.

• "Long Island Peace Train" and "Suffolk Peace Network" to conduct feeder march over Brooklyn Bridge to the United For Peace and Justice event See Other Boroughs - Brooklyn

• "Buddhist Peace Fellowship" to conduct public meditation , today, between 0805 and 1945 hours, in Washington Square Park. 40 people are expected.

• Unknown Activists to parade a burning statue of President Bush, today, at approximately 1600 hours, from 619 Lexington Avenue to "join RNC protests" at an unknown location. Likely number of participants is unknown.

• "RNC Youth Welcoming Committee" to conduct feeder march to United for Peace and Justice event, today, at 0900 hours, from Columbus Circle. The likely number of participants is unknown. No permit was issued.

• "Not in Our Name" to conduct an anti war rally, today, between 0900 and 1100 hours in Union Square Park. Approximately 2000 participants are expected. A permit was issued for this event.

• NYC Labor Against the War to conduct feeder march to the United For Peace and Justice event, today, between 1000 and 1100 hours from an unknown location. The likely number of participants is unknown.

• "Gabriela Network" to conduct feeder march to the United For Peace and Justice event, today, between 0930 and 1100 hours, from the Philippine Consulate, located at 566 5th Avenue. The likely number of participants is unknown. No permit has been issued.

• Falun Gong to conduct a vigil, today, between 1800 and 2300 hours, in the main demonstration area located at 30th Street and 8t` Avenue. 400 participants are expected. The group is targeting Broadway productions that may be attended by RNC delegates. The likely number of participants is unknown. • "High Grounds Veteran Reunion" to conduct a protest in Central Park, today between. 1700 and 2000 hours, at the "Summit Rock" in Central Park. The likely number of participants is unknown. No permit was issued.

Routine Power Outage at Pennsylvania Station o Earlier this morning, at 0144 hours, the 7` Avenue concourse of Penn Station suffered a temporary power outage. o Power was restored approximately 0350 hours. o Amtrak indicated this is a common occurrence.

• CPW Arrest o It was reported that the United States Coast Guard arrested a subject carrying several firearms aboard his vessel. o The subject is has a valid Florida license for the mentioned firearms.

• Live Broadcast of MSNBC in Herald Square , between 0700 and 1600 hours. MSNBC will be broadcasting live from Herald Square Park, located at West 34th Street and Broadway. Potential for a spontaneous direct action protest during this broadcast.

• Operation Witness to conduct demonstration on Monday, August 30th, between 0700 and 0930 hours at the Planned Parenthood offices located at 434 West 43rd Street (vicinity of MSG) Approximately 50-100 participants are expected and no permit has been approved.

• NYC Atheists to conduct demonstration on Monday, August 30th, from 0900 to 1100 hours on 8t Avenue and West 30th Street. Approximately 25-50 people are expected to participate and a permit has been approved.

• Protest Warriors to conduct protest on Monday, August 30th, from 1000 to 1700 hours at the UFPJ Offices located at 209 W 38`h St. Approximately 200 to 400 people are expected and a permit has been approved.
