AQUINAS NEWMAN CENTER 2 ALBUQUERQUE, NM A MESSAGE FROM FR. DEPALMA A few things for you all as we head into the third week of Advent believe it or not! We have started to put on LoboCatholic.org as well as our Facebook page some videos along the lines of what we used to do for our Catholic Studies Night. If you have not already seen it, there is a video out describing all that we can learn from the main stain glass windows in our parish. But we will also be putting out a teaching on how to get your spiritual life back on track which will include some insights on how we are to approach the sacra- ment of confession. We've also put out the schedule online for Christmas Eve and for Christmas Day with Masses at 4;30 and 6:00pm on the 24th and 8:00 and 10:00 am on the 25th. Keep in mind that there will still be a morning Mass at 7:00am on December 24th and confession following at 7:30am. Now the parish office will be closed starting on De- cember 24th and will reopen on Monday, January 4th. But we will still have our normal Mass and con- fession schedule during those days. So as we head in- to Gaudete Sunday, this Third Sunday of Advent, we are called to be joyful as the coming of our Savior is near. Remember, like peace, joy is one of those gifts that we are not supposed to lose. Yes, it's been a diffi- cult year, and one could say that it's been quite hard to be joyful about anything, but joy when you get right down to it is the possession of what we love. We still love and we still posses our Lord Jesus Christ, he is still very much with us and that source of joy is unend- ing. But the very comforting thing to know is that the opposite is also just as true and just as power- ful: Since our Lord Jesus loves us and also possesses us because of his dying on the cross for us, then he too is joyful because he possess what he lovesus! May you all have a very blessed week.

PROJECT RACHEL: POSTABORTION HEALING IN THE “HEART OF THE CHURCH” For many postabortive women, physical healing from their abortion is not the main issue. For many, the ail- ment is about grief, and they are in need of spiritual and psychological healing. However, many of the ways women might address grief and guilt can result in phys- ical problems such as chemical addictions and other de- structive behaviors. Spiritual, psychological and physi- cal illness must be treated with care and compassion. Project Rachel is a ministry of mercy, helping women and men recover from abortion loss. Abortion loss is an integral part of the Church’s ProLife ministries; Project Rachel is in the “Heart of the Church.” For information on Project Rachel within the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, call the Project Rachel message line, 5058318238.
