ULB was founded in 1834, just four years after Belgium itself was created. At its inauguration, the ULB had just 96 students. Today there are over 30 000, 30% of whom are foreigners. THE ACADEMIC CALENDAR PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The academic year begins in mid-September. The One year of studies for a full-time student is 60 credits first term ends in January; the second term runs from (i.e. 1,800 hours of work on average).
